Its hit and miss.
Their first try on Valk is a disaster from what i viewed and read..... Their Dynamic combineres are mostly miss. Thier simple non combining Dynamics are great for around $100 shipped. More then that, its not worth it.
So i highly recommend to wait till early adopters to review this guy. Also The way Evolution Toys price their products, its going tobe really REALLY expensive!!

www.taghobby.com/?p=143822Having said that, Grozer X and Kaiser look awesome. Again, their simple Dynamic at around $100 shipped is worth getting....especially if its a obscure character like Groizer..

wow. i love the opening hatches. this looks great. whats the word on evolution's other products? Their Dynamite Action line is interesting. Not exactly true Gokin, they are plastic figures with a decent implementation of the old Magnamatic Magnetic joint system. They do a lot of really odd ball subjects. Their sculpts and paint work is top notch, bordering on spectacular. But they tend to be about 20%+ overpriced for what they are. Great if you can get them on deep discount. They are great value at or below $100, and grossly overpriced at $200. Sadly some of their most popular DA offerings are also their least impressive, such as Albegas. (The ET DA figures are roughly to scale or similar size to GX-01) They haven't done a lot of Gokin type stuff. The main one is the VF- 2S Valkyrie from Macross II. Which is by all reports a meh effort. (Although the latest version is reported to be improved.) Their other main Die Cast offerings have been the Mazinger Pilders with the plastic heads to dock in. Those have been very very nice (just once again overpriced for what they are.) it will I'll be interesting to see what they come up with if they are branching into true Die Cast robots. Their sculpt and paint team is great. Typically only held back by the materials and the stupid magnetic ball joints. Here's hoping they have some quality engineering to go along with the sculptors. I suspect that nothing will save us from it being grossly overpriced.

Oh and if you have a defective part? They dont give a hoot...zero communication and zero customer service.
Atleast from my experience.

This looks phenomenal!! Like a DX Chogokin figure. I love the proportions. A modern Chokinzoku. Please oh please make it diecast/steel!

I never liked the Dynamite Action line. I only own Grendizer for obvious reasons. They're also priced the same as diecast figures such as SOC so that's a big disappointment.
They seem to be producing decent figures, but I really like my SOC Tetsujin-28 as I feel like it's the most accurate release to date. This seems interesting enough but I don't see the sculpt matching the anime version but more matching the vintage toys and drawings of the robot.

this is another great idea that was done poorly by ET
the only figure that could make good use of their magnets but yet they didn't do it !
lets see first the way to show the mechanical parts isn't really good its like you are opening the hood of your car to show your engine, why they didn't make it completely removable ?
also the face proportions are just wrong it kinda remind me of the Groke from Moomin anime

Thanks framigoiou!
He looks nice but I'm going to take GGG's advice and wait before I go for one.
I've never owned one of their toys so I have zero experience with them.

These look great again like most other ET toys. Hopefully quality is good but is it really only 200mm? Seems it would be bigger.

Thanks framigoiou! He looks nice but I'm going to take GGG's advice and wait before I go for one. I've never owned one of their toys so I have zero experience with them. The regular ET Dynamite Action stuff isn't bad. But it's not really a Gokin experience. On the scale of Toy vs Collectable they skew a bit more toylike with the magnetic joints. They work well for simplistic robots. More complex stuff is simply a parts swapping hodge podge. They do great scuplts and paint but have no real history of complex engineering. So it remains to be seen what the results will be as they attempt to move to Die Cast with Tetsujin 28 and DaiApollon. Their stuff as it is tends to be nice and fun. Useful for filling in holes with obscure robots. But insanely overpriced at MSRP. Like SOC prices for Plastic Robots held together with ball bearings and magnets. Wait and see is probably the best approach for this one.

So, homage to the Chokinzoku...this is terrific...since well, I'll never be able to get the Godaikin version.

It looks really nice. But, Tetsujin is standing completely stiff in every picture. One of my favorite features of Dynamite Action! figures is their insane posability (with a little balancing). I'd like to see some action shots. It looks like the fingers are articulated, but I'd like see more.
And, yes, for a small figure, this is going to be very expensive.

Plus they are doing the DX thing, where it is posed on the service gantry with hatches and such open. I still really want to know more, and see it button up with all the armor on before making any decisions.

It's coming next the soc dx tetsujin I can feel it. This is like mad toys actually evolution is a respectable company but this is a precursor to something much much grander I just have a really strong feeling. I am a Lil bit clairvoyant or crazy maybe both but this does look good but needs to be 2 foot tall and built like voltron soc

For those of you that are thinking about why it doesn't have magnets like ET's Dynamite Action line, it's not supposed to.
This is from their Metal Action line, the one that did the heads/bodies of mazingers/pileders and the zero tester spaceship (I have this ship). This sub line's toys generally have a mix of diecast and plastic, so I am actually glad this won't have magnets with all the joints it looks like it will have.
Now for what I paid for the zero tester ship (retail price, saw several people paying more even after the second run) it had very little diecast and some small paint issues on non-significant parts. For the size and price the zero tester should have been completely diecast or close to it.
Honestly while I love the zero tester toy, I was super turned off by the price I paid once I had it in hand and felt like ET cut corners on it.
I hope this tetsujin does not go the same way. It needs to have a heft/weight to it, something the spaceship absolutely didn't have. I really like the look of this T28, because it is more true to the 80s tetsujin. I didn't like the SOC because it was too modernized.
So this will be just under 8 inches tall correct? There looks to be a black I'd also, does anyone see price info for either of them?
