So in other news we have more design blueprints for another potential SOC and that's Choryujin from Gaogaigar. What else is in that SOC anniversary book?

I wish it was Volfogg instead, but Choryujin is cool too. so many SoC protoypes.

I am certain stuff like the Eraser Head Accessories and the space boosters will be Bandai Premium exclusives. Granted I have been doing my own amateur design work to how the shoulders would work for Chouryujin and all. Man,I wonder if Gekiryujin shall be a main release with Tenryujin being the one Bandai Premium Exclusive bot.

You also have to remember that Chouryujin allows for many a repaint and remold potential that Bandai will use to help fund other SoCs. Most possibly Brave ones. I would love a Fort Max sized King J-Der even if diecast needs to be put at a minimum for the mass and size.

Choryujin is cool. But the proportion in that sketch is a bit iffy (giant shoulders, small arms). Wonder if its one of those tough ones that hard to get the proportion right. But I second the idea of having a Fort Max size King J-Der than anything else from GGG universe. Heck, I'll take a transforming gokin of it in any reasonable size.

You have to remember that ChoRyuJin's shoulders also have to be legs and vehicle mode cabs. Triple changers are hard to convert to plastic in any context, nevermind a Super Robot anime where cheating is frequent. All that considered I think it looks pretty damn good.

Triple changers are hard to convert to plastic in any context, nevermind a Super Robot anime where cheating is frequent. All that considered I think it looks pretty damn good. It looks a hell of a lot better than most my unfinished amateur concept sketches of trying to make those two legs a fully functioning shoulder joint. Unless there are some tricks involved with them like with the waist articulation of the Super Robot Chogokin,I suspect either a locking swivel or some very minor in the grand scheme of things partsforming. But yeah,on my local Facebook Brave and Eldoran fan page I am a part of,I suggested that the Fort-Max sized King J-Der to have diecast mainly on the J-Bird and the J-Ark be mostly plastic with some diecast feet. The ratchets would be so big by then, they would be able to keep it aloft by force alone if they used the mega springs used in G1 Fort Max's leg joints. Also, some mini figs of Gaogaigar and other Brave Robots and a Silverion Hammer accessory. Not including beam effect parts for the J-Der's arm swords and peacock wings.

Seeing This one really made my day, and I don't know why? I have no history of the robot, beyond owning the SRC because I am an OCD completionist. I don't know the name without looking it up. But it is such a distinct SRC that I have alwys though it would make an incredible SOC. The way it is two robots that zip themselves together vertically seems like such a perfect transformer/combiner trick for a SOC. Something to rival Daioja, and still also turn into trucks. I keep coming back to these and thinking I really want this guy. He looks FUN!

So I found this with more pics of SoC Chouryujin mainly in vehicle mode and it also has a teaser for SoC Gekiryujin. This is an amazing find.

I would def buy Cho and Geki so I could get the chance to pay P-Bandai prices for Ten all day long.
If these guys come to pass, do you think they'll be sold individually or in pairs?

I was hoping they be sold by their respective pairs like with the SRC combined forms so it would not be a pain to buy them individually. Though I imagine stuff like Chouryujin's Eraserhead and the Space Boosters being another Premium Exclusive along with Tenryujin.

See, Bandai never actually cancels anything. Once you see something about it, it WILL eventually show up. So you guys hoping for a DX Grendizer? I guarantee you it will show up at some point before 2323. Assuming The Zombie Apocalypses Coof Hasn't Ended Human Civilization. That might delay it a few more years.

thing is Grendizer would be easy for them to make since its the same concept as the Mazinger and Great, the only thing that might give them some troubles is the Spazer
my last guess is the 2nd quarter next year DX Grendizer will be revealed, im done guessing after that lol

Tell that to the 100+ figuarts, robot damashii, and super robot chogokin that will never come out that they showed off. Still I was almost sure this was dead in the water with how years later all the SRC gaogaigar support bots are still on clearance

Nice to see these old concepts/prototypes not abadoned.
I am most curious as to how they will do the shoulders of Chouryujin.

Eventually. Some day we will see that Sun Vulcan SRC. It will be in the year 2525 and nobody will be expecting it. But it will just show up one day. Bandai is weird.
