Guys, I've never bought from mandarake. How accurate is their description? Is it trustworthy when it comes to used items? Thanks in advance Mandarake is trustworthy. Never had issues with them. But since they sell used, description not detailed sometimes, they even use same photo for multiple listings, so it is not easy to guage the condition of the item. Going for new items are safer and lesser risk. But in general, Japanese treat their collectables with a lot more respect and care. It shows everytime I buy used items through the past decade, Mandarake, ebay, Yahoo Japan, or other used toy stores. When they say its good condition, it general means almost brand new and packaged super well. When I bought items labeled box damaged, it usually end up with a nice box with super minimal wear. So do what you can to minimize risk in choosing their listings, but the conditions of the item should either match up or exceed your expectations. Thats why I always like buying from Japanese shops or auction sellers. Way more honest and actually care for the hobby, not just looking for money. Pro tip, try searching in Japanese in Mandarake's search engine (cut n paste). You'll find a lot more listings. Also pay attention to which location store the items are at. You can only combine orders from the same location. Otherwise you pay individual shipping for each location shipment, so always try to buy from same location if you have more than one item you want. And when you placed an order, it usually take them 2-3 days to check if the requested item is in stock (they literally have to look at their storefront), since they are not a warehouse, but each branch is a physical store or toy mall building all over different parts of Japan you can visit.

Just ordered myself a minipla King J-Der kit, since I never followed the line and totally missed out on web exclusive preorders (but wanted a good King J-Der toy for years).

It is time... there are new sites like showzstore and also some reputed middlemans that can be in that list... this hobby is becoming quite expensive fast so having many sites to choose from can help with getting better prices

I may be buying some SOC from robot toy base. Its also a page that got goshogun on stock. For those that bought there and live in Europe. Hows the experience? Mix bag. Shop is good and Tony answers question through email relatively fast, and especially cheap on brands base in HK or China like POSE+, Action Toys...etc. But shipping can be high and offsets the cheaper price. Sometimes they package my stuff pretty good. Other times they used shipping box too big without much stuffing, resulting my recent POSE+ Godam box crushed real bad (like someone curb stomped on it bad, luckily the toy survived). A good number of folks here buy from them too, and I still have a couple POSE+ preorders with them and don't intend to change it, but can't say I am as confident buying from them again if I see another packaging 'accident'. I got POSE+ Goshogun from them too, and it well packaged and arrived damage free. UPDATE (08/2022) - Don't buy from them anymore. Didn't ship my POSE+ Baxinger DX Set, saying it is too heavy for current HK EMS limit. Asked Tony to upgrade it to FedEx or DHL and I can pay the difference. Then he stopped responding my email after a couple exchange, and completely ignored me somehow in the following emails. Toy released and sold out most places, still no response. Eventually decided to cancel my preorder after waiting for more than a month, and asked for a refund on my US$30 deposit. Still got ignored...they still own me $30.
