LOL It seems that they hardly care when displaying prototype.

Metal content is about what we expected. Pretty much the same as we see in most SRC's and the smaller SOC's. Feet, hips, part of the torso. Possibly also the shoulder internals, although we can't see from that pic. Not a huge amount. But better than a lot of the Macross HMR's.

I'm ok with the metal content Bandai can offer. Happy with Dougram also. This figure is 16 - 17 cm tall, bigger than the SOC version.

I recognize that silhouette! Too bad I have no idea what this means.

I recognize that silhouette! Too bad I have no idea what this means. Likely means we'll get one of Timp's main mechs next; that would be either a Government type walker machine or a Brockary. I'm guessing it will be the Brockary. But if it turns out to be the Government, then I think chances are good that the line will be much larger, much more awesome, and much more lethal to my wallet that it might otherwise be. Remains to be seen how just bold Bandai is with this subline.

I'm surprised Galliar isn't next.
I kinda hope Bandai will reissue the SoC Iron Gear in the near future...I failed to pick up when it was like 10k yen on mandy but it's gone nearly double that now.

I've decided to cancel my PO on HLJ as I don't really need another money sink franchise in my life.
If anyone wants it, lemme know and maybe one of you can snag that free spot before somebody else does.

The boxart on these Hi-metals has generally been wonderfully old-school and phenomenal. I just wish they would stop using such thin cardboard and adding windows. Putting that boxart on more collector-friendly packaging would be killer. A robust slide-out slipcase like the old Takara Dougram dual-models would be several flavors of mad awesome.

Looks very cool but I'm glad I passed on xabungle for now. I wonder if they will do walker galliar and irongear.
I don't own any macross hi-metal either.
I'm going to try and stick with just the hi-metal Dougram line and hopefully it won't get too crazy. If it will consistently be two figures per year getting released, that's manageable.

Oh man, I missed the update that they're doing more Xabungle mechs. That's absolutely fantastic. Assuming Xaby comes out nice I'll have no reservations picking up all of these guys.
