Galliar!
...
Also, to tag along with what Lejam said, I'm super pleased with my Brockary. Solid. Eminently poseable. FUN. And with a distinct lack of nubs or sprue marks that need tending to (unlike all my other hi-metals)! I was kinda regretting the purchase for a little while before it arrived, if only because it's one of the more minor character/designs and I wasn't really sure I needed it in my collection. As soon as I unboxed it, my doubts melted away. And now that I've had it for some weeks, it's legitimately one of my most favorite robot toys. Like the Roundfacer from Dougram, it does such a great job of showing off the anime look and proportions, while at the same time adding the kind of realism and detail you can get out of a high-end model kit. All that on top of being solid and fun hand-candy! Highly recommended if you even passingly remember the bot or like its design.

Gallia looks good. I've got the Brockary incoming. All these Xabungle HMR makes me want to rewatch the anime, good thing it's easily found on youtube. Must have been at least 20 years since the first time I watched it.

Yep, totally agree with Tiffermore : those are top shelf to me. Looks like gunpla in term of finition : no screw hole visible, articulations well hidden in shape. Bandai learned and gives the best. I am waiting this new SOC FA to check the engineering bridges between the toy lines And this walker Gallia is damn sexy !!! -> anyone knows when PO is gonna drop ?

Anyone have English reviews or feedback about Walker Galia?
I've only found this Japanese review on YT

Wow! so cool. I have not been following these lines, but I loved the vintage Clover toys.
How are these Hi-Metals compared to the SOCs of the same character? Similar size?

The Hi-metal clocks in at about 7 inches tall; a bit larger than the SOC.
Here's a vid of the Hi-Metal that gives an idea of how big it is in hand:

I was having some fun with my hi-metal Walker Galliar earlier today. Decided to share some thoughts. (Apologies to GetterBoi for being a few years late…)
There’s no simple answer as to whether or not I can recommend this toy. Now it’s one of my favorites, but I had to do some work to get it to that point.
The only major surgery was to fix the shoulder plates to the torso. I used a drill to make some holes in the torso and the white shoulder plates, made some polystyrene pegs from model-kit runners, and used gel superglue to fix it together. It can’t transform anymore, but the Gallee Wheel didn’t impress me anyhow, and now I can move the arms around with abandon and not have the shoulder plates shift out of place--or worry about torquing the plastic connector bar. (Problems the SOC didn’t have.) Mind you, most people would find this entirely unnecessary. Being careful and repositioning the shoulders isn't a big deal, I'm just much happier not having to fuss with it.
I also cut some plastic away from the underside of the head so that it could turn and tilt without restriction. Just a little trimming makes all the difference and isn’t noticeable.
One of the smaller changes I made: I drilled out the barrels of Chill’s machine guns.
The only thing that still bugs me a little is the forward/backward rotation of the hips. It’s a bit loose for my liking and I can’t find a way to get in there and tighten it up without leaving visible scars. It doesn’t have any trouble holding a pose, so it’s a non-issue for now…
Poseability, size, and show-accurate colors are where this thing excels. I especially dig how they nailed the colors this time around. The SOC wasn’t even close in that regard. And being 1/100th scale instead of the SOC’s 1/144th makes for more satisfying hand-candy.
If you don’t play with your toys, it’s easy to recommend this piece. It has great shelf presence. But if you really like to pose your bots, be warned. Out of box I didn’t find it very fun, mostly because of the shoulders. Gallee Hover is very solid, unlike the SOC, but Gallee Wheel is kind of a loose mess, (also unlike the SOC. One step forward, one step back.) Still, I’ve no doubt it’s the best Galliar we’ll ever get.

The 40th Anniversary Xabungle is a web exclusive, releases in October.
Apparently 70% of the figure is new/redesigned parts.

I might try to grab one at release... not familiar with the anime but I love the design. I was already tempted by the first release and this one seems to improve everything.

... not familiar with the anime but I love the design. It's a fun series. Another of Tomino's gems. And it's subbed on youtube.
(I'm rewatching it right now)
