Took that photo right when I got him and it was the same way in the auction. But right after inspected and put in the box and found that when you place the Dynamobile back in the box it wants to tun that arm in a bit. So I just straightened it out after. It could have been yours, you just needed to outbid me! Oh jeez, so you were the one who snagged this one just as I was talking to the seller about the bent arm, hahaha. Ah well, enjoy it!! |

The Popy versions have beautiful boxes. I am jealous! He is a tank, I was quite surprised when I took a look at him after getting him. Have an ST Dynaman Godaikin coming tomorrow and the following weekend picking up a brand new never opened Goggle V. After that will be on the hunt for a Golion. NICE SCORE! I have the Popy GODMARZ, and I think it's my heaviest gokin. The thing is a TANK! Congrats! |

You're smart to collect the classics. I only bought 1 GoDaiKin this year - a new Sun Vulcan. I've been collecting more contempory stuff (mostly EX Gokins). But my vintage pieces are most special. Anytime I can find a nice GoDaiKin for a decent price I'm on it.
I've got Goggle V. It's a great piece that you'll enjoy - It's solid.

No time to slow down a bit! I just purchased a ton of brand new Machine Robos as well. Still on the hunt for a good Godaikin Golion and looking for the oddball Daileon. New Family members Goggle V and Dynaman WOW! You're on a roll! You'll have them all before you know it. |

Daileon is pretty rare. I haven't seen one on eBay in at least a year. But it wasn't super expensive. It was in really nice shape and came boxed for around $200.
I'm sure you'll find one. Btw, where have you been getting these? They really are exceptional.

A few of the last ones are from EBay but the bulk are from a friend I met not long ago at the San Jose toy show who owned multiple stores in the 80s and was one of the first importers of many of these toys. So I have been massively spoiled as every piece I have bought from him is case fresh new old stock. Really does not get any better! Makes it hard buying pieces from EBay though as I now always expect the same quality! Daileon is pretty rare. I haven't seen one on eBay in at least a year. But it wasn't super expensive. All of these Godaikin that would have been a pass for me when I was younger I am absolutely loving as an adult! Laserion is a beast! Never realized he had so much die cast content. NICE! I love Laserion. It's so unique- there's nothing else like it. |

My vintage gokins are probably my favorites. I've got Laserion, Gardian, Sun Vulcan, 2 GoLions, God Sigma, Goggle V, Dynaman w/Daijupiter, POPY GodMarz, The Abega, and two Voltrons I,II & III. There's just something magical about them. I get them in new condition, form the robot, and display them on my mantle. Contemporary gokins are awesome because you can handle them without messing anything up. But I view my GoiDaiKins as works of art.

You have a very nice collection BTW -- everything is in excellent shape! I was wondering about Goggle V -- I don't have it and for some reason its never really appealed to me... how do you like it compared to the others?

I had an MIB unused goggle v and actually sold it to a member here a while ago. While it was beautiful and a really streamlined toy I never cared for the goggle jet (felt like an afterthought) but the tank and dump were pretty cool. When it's mint, the paint and chrome look great and in bot mode he is very streamlined.
Tank is super fragile as the main plate to form the chest is black plastic but it tucks the snap hook tightly under a blue plastic tab but if you are careful then you will be able to transform him fine. If you've never seen one though, this vehicle is made up of a lot of the blue plastic.
I just felt that goggle did not have much play value overall compared to some of the other godaikin robots so I decided to sell mine. It is definitely a great toy though, especially if you like the sentai bots.

Thank you for the compliment on the collection! I just recently saw there is an additional set that can accompany Laserion and it does look amazing. Am on the hunt for that now! As for Goggle V he is a great piece. Smaller than what I was expecting but this is another Godaikin that I had seen as a kid in the 80s at a local Mervyn's that I always lusted for. So had always been on the hunt for a good example. I would have preferred the other box but for the price I got this one for I could not argue and this is a brand new piece. There is a fair amount of die cast in him and I love the colors and chrome. After getting him I was surprised at how he assembles. Didn't realize the jet just sticks to the tank. Overall I do recommend him. Your collection by the way is amazing. I watch a lot of your auctions on eBay as well. Almost jumped in on your Battle Fever / Shark as that is one set I would love to have. But had just purchased another toy and didn't want to go broke just before Christmas!
