Thanks Coletron. No, this is one of my unicorns never thought I would get and just kind of nixed it out of my mind. I’ve been causally buying them but this past month or two I really got serious.
I have to blame you guys on this thread for posting these nice photos of stuff I wanted as a kid. I had few as kid but never had the entire original set. I use to stare at back of instruction/catalog and just imagine wanting them as kid. Or like oh man I wish I had that or look at that he looks cool. My friends all have same memories you guys. Seeing them at Mervyns,Sears or Karl’s toys(local toy shop) just wishing you could have them.

That is awesome! My wife was just the opposite when I had the opportunity. She was telling me just buy it if you want you can just sell it later. But that still couldn't push me over the edge! Just have never spent more than $500 on a toy. Couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. Definitely regret it now of course. That same day another vendor bought it and sold it at the same show for $3000. Do you mind me asking what you paid? Also where are you located? The show I go to is in San Jose California. Great show always lots of goodies. Unfortunately no extra God Mars or Goggle V. But watch Ebay right now. There is a seller from up by Sacramento here that used to sell Godaikins and he is selling brand new old stock and has been for the last couple of months. He has sold a Goggle V already but he more than likely has more so keep your eyes peeled. Um definitely buy it! I was dumb enough to pass up a brand new mint mint mint Voltes last year for $900. I had never spent that on one toy was the only reason I held off. Hope you got it! Yes I got it. Definitely got it after sitting on it during lunch time. I was the same like do I really want to spend this money on this. I could buy a new frig(already got that), storage for the house(just got that) other stuff for the house(check). Ok I got green light. Of course my wife wasn’t with me when I bought it. 😜😀 Do you have extra God Mars or Google V for sale?

There’s Dancouga on eBay I assume you saw. I bought couple NOS Godaikins from couple sellers up in Bay Area on eBay. Must be the same sellers.

Didnt expect this T-28 to land in my hands so fast considering I had no intentions of buying Godaikins beginning of this year. Couldn’t pass up near-mint completeT-28. non crease manual and never opened weapons still stapled. Just couldn’t pass on this grail. The box cover did have rip which I could repair. Best part it was local sale and I didn’t have to deal with troubles or worries of an expensive item broken in transit or worse stolen. Last vintage item I got whole arm broke off and had to get refund but shame once it’s broke that’s it. Not the same. So I told some people I’d retire after I get this. 😀 so looking retirement is on the horizon. Dont ask me how much because I don’t want to remind myself what I spent on collectible. 😂

2 things:
•Well, how is it? Does it live up to the hype?
•Dude, you can't retire! There's so much more good stuff to come. Also, where else is can blow this kind of money without winding up on "vacation" in a treatment facility?

Having known what this was since I was kid let’s say I was completely fixated when I first saw it in person. It was like unraveling a treasure chest for me. Never seen complete never played with T-28. I knew I wanted it but do I really want to spend so much money on it. I recently just wanted these Godaikins just couple months ago so my expectations were low. But with that said, it’s biggest metal robot in my collection and doesn’t fit in any of my display cases. I’m going to buy some special custom case for it to display it. Its just as heavy as New DX Combattler V. It’s even bigger than matchbox vehicle Voltron but that’s all plastic. So it’s big and heavy. Zero leg articulation but it’s those metal plates that open up and that elevator thing that are so cool. I didn’t take figures out I think I’m going to leave those stapled up for now. Fist shoot and hands open up which was cool. For its size and shelf prescence alone I have no problems or regrets buying it. I personally think I would be regretting more if I didn’t buy it. I did some thinking on way down to meet seller while sitting in traffic. I’m like ok I’m officially in deep end of pool in collecting and won’t buy anything this expensive again. This will be my pinnacle of my collection since this has lots of nostalgia for me. The 70s era mecha Toys don’t do anything for me since I have few and didn’t know or grow up with those. My God Marz that I just snagged so fast is coming next week then I’ll be done. I’ll still collect some of new stuff but very selective. The new stuff is great and looks good but doesn’t have that collectible desirable appeal. It’s just too easy to get and Companies just keeps reissuing things. Part of fun of collecting is the hunt.

Could not agree with you more on the new items. With the constant reissues there is not much fun in getting anything as it is far too easy. It truly is about the hunt! Congrats on the T-28 WOW! I am super jealous! How did you come upon this one locally? 2 things: •Well, how is it? Does it live up to the hype? •Dude, you can't retire! There's so much more good stuff to come. Thanks dooquie! Funny it was local eBay seller. I asked him if I could see it in person and if he offered local pickup. He decided to sell it locally. It was several hundred in fees, shipping, insurance he saved.

Thank you Ed! I agree this guy is hard to find in this condition. I have seen only four total on Ebay in the last two years. Two with boxes (this was one of them) and two loose. Now just to find the oddball Dancouga ST and Machine Man!
