Is a must watch show. I may decided you don't like it after watching it but is a nice travel (I loved it and it has many reference to many things biblically speaking, there a guide to understand everything: red cross book). Mecha design is great. You only have to watch the complete show. Then if you want you may watch the movie end of evangelion (nice and has more action than the anime ending, it complimentary). Then you have the new movies (ova) that are a retelling of the story but until the 4th one Is released we won't know the connection to the main anime). And last we have the manga, it's almost the same story than the original anime with a few changes (minor) and reveals some things that weren't explained in the anime. Also the last chapter in the manga seems to be connected to the new OVAs.

so i must watch alot of stuff to get the full picture ?
a friend of mine have the show but not the add on stuff so im really not sure if i should watch it
You can just watch the Rebuild movies to save time. This MB Eva comes from the Rebuild version. |

advising someone to watch rebuild movies so they can skip the anime is HORRIBLE advice since theyre nothing alike, anime is the must watch, rebuilds are optional if you want more eva

Of course starting with the original TV anime is the best way, but not everybody has time for a full 26 episode anime series and then 1.5 hr End of Eva, then 3+ full length movies, just to decide whether they want to buy a toy figure. |

This is the limited version of the stand for the Chogokin Anima Evangelion. (I bought it in 2010 in Mandarake, Tokyo) You can plug all weapons and rotate the arms to display like a X-max tree  Here is the stand for the Metal build:   I bet this new Evangelion is related to the incoming movie "3.0+1.0"
Design is very different from the Anima version.
Wonder if Bandai will propose bonus parts (related to possible feature from the movie).

I was referring to the MB stand, the same one you pointing out. All good. The Anima was just part of the Toysdaily discussion, but kind of inspired this MB design, but not a copy. Same concept guy that supervised the MB development I believe, 山下いくと (Ikuto Yamash*ta).

Oh this is interesting he actually has armored parts (which imo looks bad). I'm so conflicted on the pylons now... It rests on an angle and not straight up...
Wonder if we're getting that mobile battery from the concept art.
EDIT: Just noticed that the pylons are now a back piece and can hold itself up separate form the shoulder. interesting nvm again as I thought the pylons could tilt forward. The unit itself was hunched over
