I’m going to fire off a few questions re: AmiAmi in quick succession, so here goes:
1.) How much advance notice do they give prior to opening a pre-order of this significance? 2.) On what social media platform (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) do they formally announce said pre-order? 3.) Do they have a set time of day when pre-orders typically go live?
Thanks.

I would follow Tamashii’s Japanese twitter account. twitter.com/t_featuresThey’ll announce preorder dates a couple of days in advance (although they’ve announced stuff before a mere hours before they open pretty much screwing everyone who didn’t see it). Preorders for as long as I’ve been following them have always started 4pm Japan Standard Time. Good luck!

I remember this on the recent Figuarts Broly (not the full power) They just shown some images and then after a few hours PO is up. It will be 4 pm JP time

Bandai sure delivered, all right – delivered on Dairugger Chogokin quality, while also delivering a soul-crushing, kumite-winning, Frank Dux-like knockout roundhouse kick to my wallet...
i would wait on "Bandai Delivered" till i get the figure in hand and handle it properly
photos could trick us easily
Who's complaining about the price again? This thing in reality could cost aot more. There must have been a tremendous amount of tooling that went into this and it is the best looking figure I think u have ever seen. 400 is well worth is considering what we paid for Dx mazinger and combattra which are a lot simpler to manufacture than a 15 piece beautiful combined. I am super impressed and can't wait for the real thing
how come it could cost more ?
$400 is alot of money on a figure, we are talking about a DX \ Fewture price range
other than the fact its a rare character and its a 15 piece combiner i dont see anything else going for it
i also dont see how a high end DX is comparable with a regular SOC release with the DX you get more of everything accessories, size, LEDs, sound gimmicks i mean the DX Combattler made the GX50 looks like a small cheap KO
lets just wait to see how its compared to the MP version and how tight the figure is when its combined

The dairugger weapons rack is 100% not even close to the same thing as GX-71. Im glad they are the same color, they will match on the shelf. but they are absolutely not even remotely the same. its not even tweaked. its completely a new design.

I'm loving everything I see except that it suffers from the no neck syndrome. It looks amazing. Hopefully it will have a neck extension. I am glad I didn’t overreact to that first picture.

Well, I have to say, I LOVE IT. I know some of the peeps here were a bit unsure about the proto images but frankly, this SOC is freaking gorgeous.

I'm loving everything I see except that it suffers from the no neck syndrome. Kinda goes with that "hulkish" silhouette that is popular with sculpts these days. <dunno>

This will be my swan song to collecting. Prices of collectables and shipping have gone far beyond what I'm willing and can afford to pay. After 30 years of collecting I will get the GX-88 if I can and then exit the hobby. It's gone far beyond what I'm willing to invest. I prefer to hunt local toy stores. However, after TRU closed my local comic shop saw fit to raise prices to stupid level. So I have lost the excitement in collecting. USPS have also announced they will be raising shipping prices to stupid levels in June. So I say good by.
