sp.tamashii.jp/item/13228/So Spiderman is not included, but now we get the bracelet (I don't know what kind of gimmick it includes). I'd rather have marveler on it's own, I guess the bracelet has a lot to do with the price point, but I'm still happy with being able to get this... engineering looks dated but I can avoid to love this design.

I am very happy about this release and I already made the preorder for both the Spider-Man figure and Leopardon. The only problem is I already got the GX-33 last year off eBay and I paid $200 for it. Basically the same as this Renewal version. The original came with a static Spider-Man figure and this one doesn't but instead has the Spider Bracelet. No regrets. I do think that once I get the new one, the older version will be displayed in Marveller mode or put back in the box. It's one of my favorite SOC releases because of the accessories and the solid feel. It has a lot of die-cast it feels like one of those classic chogokin toys. I can already tell the renewal version has better articulation and improved proportions so that will only make it more desirable for SOC collectors.

I didn't expect the preorder to open the day after the magazine scans showed up, so Spiderman was already sold out at my usual vendors. I did manage to get one through NY. I snagged the gx 33r from cdjapan. I am glad this wasn't solicited at the same time as the Roy Fokker DX Chogokin, lol.
Some of the Leopardon photos that were just posted by Gunvalion are actually for the super mini pla, not the SoC.

it is about time to re release this figure ! this is a great toy indeed! don't be fooled by the outdated design but this is a great gokin that resembles the character accurately and weight a ton and feature good amount of diecast.
Get it!

But it is an older school SOC. The transformation is not particularly exciting. This was the direct and immediate forerunner to the Super Sentai shows. So the robot was a dude in a cardboard suit. I haven't messed with it in awhile. My only complaint is the Perfect Transformation arms don't have any shoulder tilt/butterfly joints. You have to swap to the more accurate arms for full range of motion. Also in perfect Transformation mode the big lion head of the Leoparden ship ends up as a backpack. But can be removed for aesthetics. The figure is solid and stable with a lot of metal. You will in all honestly transform it to ship mode once just to do it, and spend the rest of your time with it in Robot mode. It's rather like Trider G7 or Daitarn 3 in that regard.

Anyways....I would pick these up for preorder but HLJ is not cooperating with me atm.
I at the very least want that SH Figuarts Spiderman if I could not get Leopardon.

Don't really see any difference at all. Any changes in tone could be put down to the lighting and photography.
That said, the pack-in premiums are definitely nicer. Marveler > crappy inarticulate vinyl Spider-Man.
