Well BBTS was a complete disaster. They posted it, but it doesn't seem to return in the results for either "metal structure" nor "sazabi". Of course, by the time I was notified, it was sold out. I have been checking them on & off, even a few times this morning. Didn't see anything. And of course it sold out already by the time I see the listing now. But the price is a lot heftier than buying from Japan, even when including $300-400 extra shipping price. When you add tax (I'm in California) alone, its already another $200 on top of the BBTS price. I wasn't planning to get it. But part of me is curious on how much they improved over Nu. So if it happens to be easily acquirable and the price not too bad (yen is very low), I am on the fence. But seeing how it goes down lately on release, I have a feeling that is not gonna happen. If nothing else, at least the Sazabi release got me to open my Metal Structure Nu after sitting in the box for so long.  |

Funny you say that as I still have my Nu and all its add-ons still sealed in their boxes. I know if I open it, I will want to display it and then I'll need to get a case for it. |

I kind of regret not opening it earlier, now that I get to see and hold it in my hands. |

Not sure what is the quantity they produce... 10000 pcs? Demand is more then the supply... But Metal structure is not executive.. Bandai can release again..

I don't know what BBTS were thinking when they listed the Sazabi, they had a limit of 2 per person & then they changed it to 1 but the damage was already done.

Not sure what is the quantity they produce... 10000 pcs? Demand is more then the supply... But Metal structure is not executive.. Bandai can release again.. One of the Sazabi videos they released hints at a Nu Gundam re-release at the very end. |

I don't know what BBTS were thinking when they listed the Sazabi, they had a limit of 2 per person & then they changed it to 1 but the damage was already done. I didn't know that. In the past, I had picked up two Zaku when there was a limit of "2" and then they changed the limit to "1" and reduced my order. You would think they would do that this time, but they may not have cared due to the deposit required. |

I should at least be able to do a search for an item everybody is waiting for. I was checking their site constantly and still lost out. If P-Bandai offers it on the US site, you will have to cough up the entire price right away. The worst part of that being that their packaging just plain sucks. |

Now with some shops have a "new preorders" page, the news stuff usually shows up there. That is where I look now, if they have one. |

Honestly, I didn't think that a new preorders page would be accurate as it requires the product to be properly tagged in order for it to show up on those pages. I was figuring that finding the actual listing through the search engine would work. It's how I found the Nu Gundam when it was released. Yeah I don’t understand limited supply for something so popular. Yet Bandai loves to flood the market for constant reissues and -R of all these lesser known character chogokins. Majority of these end up being discounted.

Majority of these end up being discounted. The manufacturing process for this figure is more time consuming than your average SOC, and the potential market much smaller. Hopefully it gets reissued in the future. |

I have a Nu Gundam new in box plus two fin funnel packs as well as the add on accessories pack. I've been waiting for this Sazabi for a long time.......and I missed it. The price is just ridiculous but that's the market apparently.
Anybody know how much I could get selling the Nu Gundam with everything? If it's being reissued than might as well unload it now.
I much prefer to build my Gundam figures. Got a shelf of Perfect Grades but unfortunately that haven't done the Nu Gundam yet, which is one of my favorite Gundams. Especially the Hi Nu.

Definitely can sell much higher than you pay for especially as a set with fin funnel... Unfortunately don't have perfect grade RX-93 as of now can fetch around 4000 to 4200usd with 2 set of fin funnel...

Thanks. But no thanks. I did notice a bunch of random shops already have their preorders up and sold out that wasn't there a day or two ago. Some in US, some overseas. Even Rightstuf (the anime video store) had it up and gone. Folks want it bad just have to keep searching non-stop now, if the supply is not gonna get better later. What took me a little by surprise is the much higher retail price in US$, pretty much $1999 + tax is the norm (with some shop giving a 5-10% discount), compare to $1500~ish no tax from Japan, with a likely $300+ shipping cost. So getting one at Image Anime would likely round up to about US$2400 if they have free shipping. Ouch. But at least they are somewhat reliable, as they have been around for a long time. I just don't shop there much anymore due to higher price. LOL. Already sold out after I finish typing this. |
