Yeah first it is a exclusive, so I can't get it (can't use my credit cards on PayPal due to some stupid policies in my country). Second I'm not sure about the size, call me a maniac but 10 inches (25cm) is bigger than Id like (insert every joke here). Engineering seems over the top, seems Sentinel is showing their value too. Anyway, I love the design, may grab the non EX version, but not sure yet.

Interesting, the last LineBarrels toys I remember were those by CMs, wasnt it?

I'm happy with the regular edition at the usual retailers. Sharpest looking Linebarrel yet.

Mix feelings about this release. On one hand, I like the design quite a bit and seeing a 25cm (head height) Sentinel release of a non-combiner in that size is quite rare. But at the same time, I don't have a lot of love for the show (watched a few episodes and can't quite get into it). So I don't know if spending $500 on something I don't love is a good move. Yet it has a relatively small preorder window, so I have to decide soon... Upon looking further, the core body on two versions has some small difference (head, chest side armor, and thigh details, as indicated in the video). You can get the 'Exclusive' EX at D4Toys. They also have the budgeted non-EX version without the armor (which looks like it will be sold in other stores as a regular release, but not 100% sure). EX with the armor. US$402. But with FedEX shipping and $HKD exchange rate, you'll end up paying US$538 total with Paypal). www.d4toys.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=426_453_518&product_id=1024 www.d4toys.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=426_453_518&product_id=1025

Yeah the anime was all right but really didn't leave a major impression. The deluxe version looks good because it has that "cool" decked out robot look but other then that unless your emotionally invested or just like different looking robots I think the regular version would suffice.

Yeah, size is a weird choice... bigger than 1/100 or 1/144. It would look weird among other stuff I have. Also being bigger means a higher price point, I'd rather pay less for a 20cm figure. I love the design, and what Sentinel have done with it. Tough choice...

Just a little trivia on Linebarrel- The design is by the same guy who did the new Ultraman, as well as Getter Devolution. You can see the big shoulders, small waist, and the "no feet" style.

lol man Sentinel never failed to make me laugh
55k Yen for a 25cm figure, that cant stand on its own, not a combiner, diecast will be laughable as well (unless the show how much diecast they used)
just to make things clear, 55k Yen is MORE than the asking price of the Pose + Metal Baxinger + Baxinbird DX set !

Wow, 25.5cm head height not counting antenna. This one is really a big boy Riobot (CCS Toys/SOC combiner size). And looks like it can stand on its own, with the help of the 3rd feet (upper far right image).

The non-armored version is rather tempting, however I'm very disappointed that the gun is exclusive to D4. I hated when they did it with Flame Toys figures so seeing the same move being pulled with mainline Sentinel figures means that if you want all accessories you will need to pay their steep shipping fees.

As nice as this looks, unfortunately I dont care nearly enough about linebarrels to drop 500 fun bucks for it. And I dont buy regular versions when a dx is available.

Personally I think this must exchange size with raideen... the Made raideen 18cm aprox and this one 25cm... a smaller linebarrels and a bigger raideen would have been perfect.

That's a $180 markup on the base price compared to other places. SureThingToys, where I pre-ordered it, is selling it for $419.99 with free shipping. Even the base version is going for only $300 on SureThingToys.

Even the base version is going for only $300 on SureThingToys. Yeah in a recent Turn of events it become widely available in the US. It was to be a D4 toys exclusive (and Sentinel in asia), D4 toys have expensive shipping fees, soBBTS was not a bad deal, but seeing other prices it is a bad deal. My guess is that it was not selling so they decided to offer it through other retailers.

BBTS' is not a good price at all (don't forget to add tax). Cheaper at D4Toys after shipping. Surprised SureThingToys carries the EX (even cheaper), even though it is an exclusive.

If the EX version was suppose to be an exclusive, then that exclusive period must've been very short lived. Both the regular and EX versions are widely available for pre-order at several places.

Quite possible EX is exclusive (still is currently), but only in Asian countries (Japan, HK...etc.). US got the exclusives marketed as regular release somehow, but this is not the first time. If I remember correctly, one or two of the SOC Tamashii Exclusives ended up available on Entertainment Earth and Amazon US not too long ago.
