Big O didn't invent giant forearms, I think that was Popeye But this Shin Dragon's gimmick is that it used the signature attacks and weapons of the other two forms without changing, so it gets the giant arms of Poseidon, and those fans are used to generate Poseidon's Getter Cyclone. You can even see the Poseidon heads replacing its hands.
im talking in Mecha if we included cartoons or anime's we will get lost lol
and thank you for explaining

Hopefully no delay on this. One of my most anticipated release of the year. Just sucks for me finding out the Exclusive with bonus parts at D4Toys much later, and lost some money switching my preorder over there from Nin-Nin due to cancellation and losing a coupon I used. Exciting to see a new iteration of Dragon as it is generally underrepresented.

I cancelled this guy but so tempted to get it now... it would look great next to its getter brothers... Liking Getters aside, what really impressed me about this release is the fact that Sentinel turned an 'OK' design into something looking so cool. It inherited some of their Shin Getter 1 design (literally, as they reused the lower legs), and added a boat load of details especially on the back. I don't think I have seen any Getter figure's back as cool as this, and I have quite a few Getters.

I really like the look of this figure, but I have no idea where to put it if I were to buy it. Display space is also already crowded as it is.

Huh, found some rarely seen art of Shin Getter Dragon, used in Iron Saga (mobile game?). Looks very cool.

Saw a bunch of unboxed photos on Twitter. First impressions are very good with people very happy with it. Looks just like the promo pics, fully painted, and pulling off some kickass poses. Just search on Twitter typing "RIOBOT 真ゲッタードラゴン" and you'll see a bunch. Can't wait! I got your unboxing theme music ready when this bad boy arrives. GETTER SHINE!!!

First video review I can find. Holy crap at that ridiculous range of articulation! The guy loves it and rate it 5 stars out of 5, but he did point out at the very end that the thigh swivel tend to be a little loose, and he noticed that there is a secondary hinge joint at the ankle above the main ball joint, but he doesn't know how to extend that hinge joint for extra ankle articulation, as it seems to be stuck. Pulling too hard just dislodge the ankle from the ball socket instead of loosen up the secondary hinge (though the ankle already has good range without it). Will have to see about that when I got it in person.

very normal articulation dont sugar coat it lol
CCS, Pose + and moshow can do these moves as well
i like the Getter cyclone and i really dig the paint
but i noticed the joints are a bit lose at (20:55)

...very normal articulation dont sugar coat it lol CCS, Pose + and moshow can do these moves as well... No sugar coat there. I was talking about the max range of the main joints. POSE+ and CCSToys are great, but not to this degree. Almost 180 degree neck up and down to kiss its own chest, 180 elbow, 180 knee (to a point the heel can touch its butt), more than 180 hip split, big butterfly with the clear blue chest sinks in, lower arm has extra swivel for the blades to move around. Even the shoulder pad has an extra diecast ring for it to rotate 360, on top of a hinge and ball joint connection. I own a few POSE+ and CCSToys, and I know none of them can match this kind of max range of articulation as a whole (I am not saying just pick one or two joints of your liking that performs well). Not saying it is perfect, but I bet it can beat most of the gokin competition you have in mind in a gymnastic competition. Just that neck joint alone is hard to beat, let alone all the other 'normal' stuff combined. Even previous best Riobots would have a hard time to match up.

Sentinel is the brand pushing engineering period. Their mazinkaiser was a revolution, and they still deliver over the top articulation. Sentinel used to have two problems: 1) low die cast content (not a problem per se but we all love die cast) 2) Overpriced: they are 25 to 30% above the price they should have. They are solving the first one, their GL has a good amount of die cast and a good heft (their shin getter too), the second one may be a problem to some, not to me knowing what I'm getting. I have never regretted paying for their products (not even their first ones like the tsugumori or their jehuty), and I'm very happy with all of them. Sentinel is at the forefront when it comes to articulation, other companies may have better sculpt, better materials, more diecast or be more screen accurate. I'll try to get this guy and I'm for sure getting their legendary voltron.

Just saw this on Facebook. Check out that crazy neck. Riobot Mazinkaiser also has a similar telescopic neck, but can no where reach as far nor tilt the head up as much. Kaiser's neck also has a lot more hollow space around, while Sentinel improved it on Dragon with the neck shape and by adding more moving pieces around the neck to cover the space. Very nice. Also, false alarm on the secondary ankle hinge joint mentioned at the end of that video. Just looked at my Riobot Shin Getter 1 (same leg design), it has the same hinge. Turn out it is not for the ankle, but for the moving bottom flap on the back of the lower leg when it does the knee bend. The ankle ball socket is stationary.
