Love Danguard Ace but not sure this will replace my mighty brick Yamato version. Yeah I know it’s dated but still just looks good. I found social media site that King Arts will be 23 CM. That’s about inch shorter Yamato. Think it will come down to asking price for this. I’m happy with The King Arts Gaiking. Looks like will be 33.5 CM (13.2") Oh cool. Guess I’ll buy this now.

Of course it is a CRIME and immoral to copy other company's product unless you pay the license fee to the company like Hagane Works or Moderoid did to the Sentinel. Bandai SOC probably does have a better anime accuracy out of the two modern Danguard Gokins out there, but that doesn't mean that it is the definitive anime accurate version, because there never can be one. We're talking about 70s anime here, even in the anime Danguard would look different from a scene to another scene.
Well when Playmates copied the GX71 no one complained same thing with Fantacy Jewels in matter of facts people bought them, also Hasbaro with the Mega Zord
What I understand from this situation it’s only a crime if you don’t like the company who (you) think are copy the SOC?
Let’s talk numbers the SOC is 19cm, this one is 33.5cm this tiny info changes everything, the engineering of the +30cm figure is way different than 19cm figure,
also after taken a deeper look at the comparison pictures, also reading reviews , I don’t think they are copying anyone, the KA have much more details all over than the SOC take a look at Shoulders and shoulder joints, Chest, Stomach, Whole legs and legs joints system, Feet waaay different mechanic, Even The ship mode looks also different, It’s the same robot so it might look the same to some, but it’s not an SOC KO by any means
As for 70s robots, it’s a known fact, but we got the original illustrations to help
If someone copied your toy reviews and all the photos, slightly rearranged the paragraphs, changed a few words, and photoshopped out any logos or watermark you may have, then posted on their website as their own reviews. How would you feel? Just saying. Anyhow, we can agree to disagree. You get my point. Maybe its the artist in me that got particularly annoyed by this. KA stuff are cool and I respect what they have been bringing to the collecting scene. The Danguard copying is a bit of a surprise. Moving on.
That’s way different than this case but I get what you are trying to say

I’m “guessing” King Arts reeling from their “ refi” Jeeg and the sculptor went sus with “a safer route.” It’s contentious.
KA def needs to bring more on this Danguard. damaged parts and maybe USB LED will help. And making the hip joint more “sea worthy”like CCS and ThreeZero, THAT will be a BIG incentive.
According to Gokin.it. It,d be around 200 euro. And has a “glowing” (?) head? Also it IS a Gokin class action figure with some diecast. Doesn’t say where and how much.

70's anime had a lot of inconsistencies, and robot heads/faces are no exception. depending who the lead animator is that draws the key frames, sometimes a head can look squat or flat or long or downright strange. For me personally I want the modern toys to just have good looking heroic faces and doesn't have to match the anime 100%. The Marmit figure face as an example- there is no way I would prefer that on a $300 gokin figure. I really like the styling of the new art for the DVD boxes, where they updated the look of Danguard's face. To me, the KA version and the SOC seem to be closest to this new style so it's a bit different from the original anime. Yeah, the face overall could be a little longer but I don't mind it enough to NOT buy this figure. Some variety of Danguard art for reference and enjoyment.

not only robot faces even main characters example Duke Fleed at the end of the show his face looked much sharper and his face in general changed a bit

While I understand someone thinking they night have copied some elements from the SOC, the design is still very different, and certainly not something to start getting heated about.

Chill out guys... no punching under the belt. I will proceed to give my humble opinion. I think that king arts will add and a new and improved engineering to Danguard making it a new figure, but aesthetics and proportions look suspicious. I guess no one can sue you for that, since we are talking about a figure and the source material its the same, but I think they did copy SOC aesthetics and proportions and added some small details to the panels to cover it. It not the most ethic thing to do in my opinion, but we can think of it as an homage to the SOC, and the most important thing, looks cool.

I deleted select posts here that were getting too “heated.”
Everyone is entitled to have an opinion but ANY posts that contain insults on fellow members, posts should to be deleted. (Especially if there is an open complaints about them…)
There IS a thread for member issues.( It’s under “Break Time”). You should post grievance there if there is problem. (But Come on, earth is BURNING, there is a WAR going on! Let just all just calm~down)

I have to say - as a relatively new member here - I found it bewildering to see a longtime member of this forum (based on his post count) try to offend another user by saying he has some cognitive disability.

Wow, is that SRP correct? 196 euros? Good price point for something that's 33.5 cm tall I'm getting bummed out by other companies with 300 to 400 above USD price points

So it'll need support in Satellizer mode. On the plus side that means decent diecast in the legs area.
