Well I was not expecting Dagwon but considering the only other ones to choose from that other companies have not done are Goldran,this and J-Decker;I can see why the competition is a bit fierce.

I honestly hope they tackle other braves as well I mostly want a proper modern Baan-Gaan tbh & a transforming Goldran at some point but this guy is good since I use to own the old DX toy for it |

i really dig i said this will be my first MF but then i saw the size and the price
i guess its not worth it anymore to eye any of Sentinel products since all of them are overpriced for what im getting

I got super excited when I saw this, but then I noticed Dagfire doesn't transform and the Obari blades are d4 exclusive.
I think I'll take my chances and wait for the gattai

This is the exact reason I didn't order ildaboath valefor or compatible kaiser While regular Sentinel figures now have a trend of heavily dropping in price after release, their exclusives don't. Valefor actually sold out two production batches, and in less than a month. |

Magmatron Well regarding the Valefor he sold out in a 5 day and the second batch within 24hrs so there is demand for the Shura Mechs , compared to Compatible & stuff like Gravion , Dagwon etc..... rodimus1138 as Magmatron said Regular releases will go down in price while special will go for regular crazy expensive price in general (Look at the Getter Devolution upgrade set for example it costs more than the Robot itself now) |

There is no point on arguing over sentinel prices. As I've said many times, sentinel is 30% overpriced, yet I've never regretted getting any of their figures. their engineering is the best and all their products look cool. I own old stuff from them that have better engineering than actual releases. And I've never had any issue with any of their products (I don't own their mazinkaiser, but I have their shin getter and is great).
I'm pretty sure they taking on the brave series will give us the best representation of each mecha.

Well I am almost glad it was a figure based off a Brave Series I never saw growing up so I can skip this. Though I have seen the Oversized KO a few times way back when in Biglots.
I was always curious about said robot design.
Though the size of it is smaller than I expected. Under 8 inches is rather disappointing as that is a Voyager Size for Transformers Fans out there.

There is no point on arguing over sentinel prices. I'm pretty sure they taking on the brave series will give us the best representation of each mecha. Like I am not going to argue that Fire Dagwon looks amazing. It is the size that bothers me the most. Add that with the swords being in-store exclusives that would be hard to get. Like SoC Gaogaigar is 10" and 8" and under is like Voyager size for Transformers. Or was. |

I will take my chances with valefor As long as you know where to find them I'd say it's always best to play the waiting game with this hobby in general , it's just on some occasions you get the few that run out but for the majority there un-missable |

thats the main issue, for example their "improved" Mazinkaiser a 19cm figure that have little diecast, is more expensive than the new CCS Great Mazinkiaser a huge figure that have true diecast amount, LEDs, ton of accessories not to mention its bad a$$ looks and on top of all that its a rare character (correct me if im wrong) its the 2nd figure for the robot after the odd SRC
fun fact Ive read some reports on FB that the improved Mazinkaiser got loose joints after time some reported that it cant even stand right anymore
i total understand we have different opinions and tastes, but there is just no comparison between Riobot stuff and the true high end stuff

Gunkid turn out is right there in the poster as the cannon (upper right), just realized after you asked. I suppose it can transform too, but not sure. I am not a big fan of Braves aside GaoGaiGar, so I am mostly immune to this. But very likely Riobot will do a better job than Goodsmile's The Gattai line. Sentinel is way more experienced afterall, and you can tell just by their proportions. You may not like Sentinel's price-to-product ratio, but they do have some talented folks designing awesome overpriced toys. My money will go to the Brave-ish Riobot Compatible Kaiser instead. |

Come on S_. We can argue about price and die cast content, about tastes if you want, but you can't say Sentinel is not high end... they are over almost every company when it comes to engineering, and their sculpt is second to none.

I don't think it's fair at all to claim that Sentinel's products aren't true high-end figures. Die-cast and light up gimmicks aren't the sign of s high-end figure, even cheap stuff can have them. For me the mark of a high-end figure is how well it's sculpted, how they nail proportions, the range of articulation and the engineering behind it, etc. Sentinel is still very good at implementing those, especially with their Flame Toys subline. However I don't think anyone would disagree that they are overpriced, and the market reacted accordingly. I feel that since around 2020 all their figures have been getting heavy discounts after release. And with how the Chinese toy making industry has been advancing and making names for themselves it becomes harder to justify Srntinel's, and even Bandai's, prices. |
