You can wait 3 month after release & buy them for 30 to 40% off tbh It's funny seeing this comment and then looking at all the sold-out listing at Japanese retailers for this figure. Thats the thing with sentinel. It seems there is no middle ground, either it goes up in sale in a few months or it sells out quickly and aftermarket prices skyrocket... I hope their voltron falls into the first category....

Sentinel has been pumping out good releases as well in the past year or two. GL, Raideen, Shin Getter Dragon, King J-Der, just to name the ones I have opened. Saw Compatible Kaiser review also very good (great articulations with tons of clickies, though elbow oddly only got a 90 bend). Pretty sure all that helps boosting sales as well.

I'd like to think it's because of demand, but I think Sentinel have always had a good reputation, except when it comes to price. Their solution seems to have been just producing as many get pre-ordered, then locking pre-orders a couple of months before release. Even Compatible Kaiser seems to be sold out everywhere, which is unfortunate for me since I couldn't buy it this month. Hopefully I can find it for a decent price later.

Well I've seen Raideen on sale for about 70usd a while ago... it is still pretty cheap. It's not the same with the other two guys.

He'll show up as always with Riobot toy's (bought a Valfor Yesterday for friend for 210 USD) so it's mostly a waiting game with toys in general

If you mean the Netflix Voltron that fanbase is mostly split on it so it's up in the air from what I gathered

Well like I said before, if Sentinel switches to relying more on pre-order numbers, similar to what Good Smile Company does, then the problem becomes actually finding the item, not just whether the price is higher than MSRP. He'll show up as always with Riobot toy's (bought a Valfor Yesterday for friend for 210 USD) so it's mostly a waiting game with toys in general That's an incredible price. Where did you find it?

Sometimes I luck out there, but I don't have the patience to keep searching for auctions anymore and had a couple of bad gets that turned me off them.

I use Yahoo Japan Auctions just to find stuff, not necessary to score good deals. After middle man fees and their international shipping (rates higher than shops), the additional cost usually offsets whatever great deals you may find, with very few exceptions. But it is still a great source to find older or rare releases when Mandarake is not an option, or even loose parts (got a bunch of loose Diaclone parts that way).

I forgot to share my opinion on these two figures. Overall very solid releases. Not quite as amazing as their King J Der but still great representations of the main Dagwon mechas.
