Upon reading bbechtold's "It's Official" thread and in the spirit of the "Toy Vault" section. I am starting this thread for us collectors to either "show off" their SOC collection by listing them or by using this as a SOC checklist for items that they know are coming soon or have just sold. Kind of a quick reference of what one has. Pictures of course, are welcome. I'll try and take mine soon. This goes for SOC and SOC related items.

Hey Koji!
Wow.. yer collection is quite extensive. Thanks on the congrats...it's tough and it cost me an arm and a leg but it's worth it for me.
If you notice, although I wanted to get all the variants, realistically, I can't afford it so I just decided to get the Mazinger variants as good 'ol Maz is one of my favorites!
Hey Ronin...when I get my new e-mail account, I may be able to host the pics for you for a bit...Not sure when exactly though...but I will let you know. Thanks for posting guys! All the best and HAPPY HUNTING!!

i have GX 01 to 23 & GX-1R , PX 01-02 , aoshima mazinkaiser jp ltd. & shin getter w/ blue instead of green lines.
i'm not big on recolors so i avoided all reissues/recolor exept for gx-01r
i may avoid the recolored maz girls as well and look to t28 and others

Well since I am still in Manila, our close proximity to HK and Japan mean that SOC prices are cheaper at our neck of the woods. So its relatively easy. I am more impressed with you guys since you have spend more to create the collection. BTW, I will be getting my GX-13R tomorrow for just US$ 230+! This is a big drop from from the US$300 quote I got from a Singapore seller. What gives? Don't tell me there will be a regular production run for the GX-13R? |

I pretty much have all the regular verions except GX-01 and GX-02 (no point in getting if you already have the Re-designed versions), Boss and the chicks (probably will get the re-release Boss and updated Maz. girls). As for the colour variations I'm only getting the ones that I really like, I have GX-01B, GX-02B, and GX-04B, and I'm thinking of getting GX-06M. Other non-SOC's diecast I own are the Maxfactory GGGG, Aoshima Blackwing Mazinkaiser Overseas, Mazinkaiser Kowai Shokai, and Shin Getter 1, and of course a Takara MP Prime (who doesn't own one of these). Plus a tonne of plastic figures that were never made in diecast like a large Gaiking, New Dangaio, and Gunbuster.

Lanmandragoran, did you ever get that offer about the GX-23A in Project: Iron Soul translated to English? I might actually send away for him if I can.
P.S I forgot about all the Robotech stuff and statues I own, including a Maz. statue that cost me about $300.00.

I meant all of us here at robot japan. We should just have our own con soon. Like taking JoshB's summit to the next level where we can have east, west, north and south gather and meet, etc. The green GGG is nice..it's actually a light green with yellow and grey. The proto pics are taken with a white Daylight light that gives the green a bluish tint...if you take a pic of it with a regular camera flash, it will look green green instead of bluish green...hope that makes sense... |
