BBTS says that Dangard Ace is supposed to ship about the same time as Daimos.

Hmmm... one thing I've noticed about Yamato's DA is that it doesn't have pics with the shoulders rotating to the sides. all of the pics have the shoulders in forward position.
I hope the shoulders have side articulation.

Andy confirmed that the 8% Robot Japan member discount does apply to Dangard Ace. If my math is correct that would make i about $164.00. Much better than most of the places doing pre-orders.

Pre-ordered mine with Betatoys. They had sent me a 10% discount coupon back when I purchased the SOC Godmars from them, so Andy reounded it off and came out to a flat $160.00 shipped (in the USA)!!! I am VERY happy...

If the Bryger is any indication, we'll be able to find Danguard Ace for much less than that a month or two after the release. Bryger could be found for about $110 at some point, even from US sellers. So $130-135 shipped could be about right.

He is a big name locally (USA) and internationally as well.

But it's still just a questionably-engineered Yamato toy.

I just received my SOC Reideen today, can't wait to get home and set him up. Would love to add Danguard Ace and thus have all three Shogun Warriors on display.

But it's still just a questionably-engineered Yamato toy. Let me see... Solid as a rock questionably-engineered Yamato GROXIER-X vs Flimsy as rice paper highly-engineered Bandai Reideen. I dunno... I'll say the Yamato engineering is not the one "questionable" here. While it might not be as fancy as Bandai's, at least with their latest figure releases you will not spend 45 minutes trying to make the accessories stay on like they should. }D

Groizer is a non-transformable brick that doesn't do anything (should I say die-cast Barbie? ), I sure hope for you it's solid as a rock!!!!

somebody needs to start sculpting a proper Dangard Ace head replacement for this toy. This Danguard Ace looks dumb.

Seriously, the SOC Raideen looks like a Taiwanese bootleg.

Seriously, the SOC Raideen looks like a Taiwanese bootleg. That is true. GROIZER-X is so tough that I keep it away from the rest of my SOCs, Aoshimas, Fewture, and Max Factory figures... I would not want it to fall down during one earthquake and totally obliterate any of my other diecast robots. ;D megatroptimus, I have come to realize that you would rather purchase a "turd" that is fully transformable with zero parts swapping instead of an awesome figure that may require some parts-swapping to achieve transformation. Oh well, to each his own. But hey, that means there will be more part-swapping figures available for the rest of us. }D

I will admit that this Dangard Ace is not perfect, but it is better than any recent Dangard Ace release. When Bandai finally decides to make Dangard maybe they will make it better, but I'm not counting on them making one anytime soon.
