Then Taiwanese bootlegs look pretty darn awesome! not really, they suck and that includes POS Raideen Too bad you don't know what you're talking about. (Hint: never ever take me seriously.)

Girls, girls!!.. keep your bras on!
just kidding.. ;D
I'm not a big fan of the way this Danguard looks generally. The engineering looks fairly simple, so I suspect it will hold up ok, but the sculpt looks too simple and the paint doesn't have any flair either. He's just a little too boring for me. It is good that somebody is finally doing Danguard, but hopefully this will inspire another company to get on it and do a better rendition.

I was going to wait for the release & for some of your reviews b4 making my decision on buying this or not, but after seeing it up close & personal at SDCC my decision was made: I do not like this figure. After 1st seeing the pics here, I thought the head was too small, but now seeing it firsthand, the head is not only too small, but the head is severely lacking in detail and personality. The overall quality of the figure also looks mighty cheap when considering the retail price. I like my bots to have a fierce presence and a shiny feel to them, but this version of DA looks very "plastic-y" and lacks any detail in robot form. I know a lot of you have already pre-ordered and are looking forward to it, and I hope it lives up to your liking, but this Leij/Danguard fan is very disappointed. I'll continue to enjoy my Danguard flosr and keep holding out for the SOC...

I have the same feelings. Yet, no other company has stepped up to make Groizer or Dangard except for Yamato. Money is not the issue, really. The toy does not look very good in robot mode regardless of diecast content or transformability.

I'm using Geocities' web hosting service with an hourly data transfer limit of 4.2MB. If you are unable to view the following photos, please wait patiently. You can also access the photos on my blog, Robot ToysEdit: 15 August 2008 I've stopped using Geocities' free web hosting service and transferred my photo files to Photobucket. I went again to the second day of the 9th Comic Exhibition, 2008 in Taipei. My first stop at the event was the booth for Mega Ridge International, the Taiwan distributor for Yamato. I was fortunate enough to meet the sales manager who saw me looking at the GN-U Danguard Ace that was on display. He spoke English and asked if I wanted to handle and get a feel of the toy. "Sure!" I quickly answered. He unlocked and opened the glass display case and handed me the Danguard Ace in Satellizer mode. Anyway, I was rather impressed with the size and weight of this Yamato Danguard Ace. I'm sure many of you will be adding this to your collection. In the meantime, I'd better save money before its official release in October.

So what do you think, is the product solidly built? Parts of the feet are plastic and many areas are painted plastic or metal, which could be prone to scratches. It's more or less similar to the GN-U Groizer X except Danguard Ace is bigger.

Man, the more I see pics of this the more I want it!!! I've been wanting a Danguard Ace figure for over 20 years!!! I haven't been this excited about a figure since GX-04.

Wow, Roboto you got the chance to handle Danguard Ace already??!!!
Is the head plastic as well, looks like plastic to me.
So, does it 'feel' good? That's so expensive and if I'm picking this one up I might have to give up on Daimos for now.....

I know how you feel, the price is incredibly high and IF Bandai comes out with a superior SOC version I will have to kick my own ass lol.

So how does the transformation work for that one? I've never been able to figure the transformation for the DX version either...
