Have the CMS corp Cyclones been released yet? I bought the Megazone Scott version and was completely disappointed. The figure couldn't support the weight of the armor and one of the wheels was designed backwards so he didn't have full arm articulation.

The release date for Yellow Dancer is early sept. so it should be out any day now. Pics of cms ride armor from toysdaily www.toysdaily.com/discuz/viewthread.php?action=printable&tid=52769

Toynami's ride armor has been scrapped and replaced with the Beagle, the one you linked to. When Toynami imports it they're supposed to shave a fair portion of the cost off so it might be $30 or so dollars cheaper. It'll also have a different head sculpt.

I remembered reading in macrossworld that toynami will keep the original head sculpt, but they will also add a new head sculpted by their very own Tommy Yune

What's the word on this Toynami Beta Fighter? A local toyshop has this for preorder for NT$4,900 (US$150) and is expected to arrive sometime next month (November 2008). Well, I've read on the RJ Forum that both Toynami and Aoshima's Alpha Fighter is plagued with numerous qc problems, so the price for this Beta scares me. I have the CM'S Legioss & Tlead set and a lot were complaining about its price when it had both the Legioss and Tlead for Toynami's price of one Beta. Is this Toynami release something to be avoided?

I've been wringing my hands over that prince since I saw it. If it were the blue or green legioss sets, It'd be no question, but I just don't like the lack of white detailing on the zeta's fighter mode . Without the painted details it looks just too plain. But at the same time... $110... EDIT: Fighter may look like crap, but the Legioss is what you get it for anyway, and it does look good. One more red robot for the display, I guess.

man.. these special 50% or more sale are causing a lot of damage to my bank account. just hope my old lady don't find out about this. what's going on. is the economy so bad, that toysellers in hk are discounting their inventories so they can make next months rent! $110 is like more than 50% off the MSRP.......

It's 63%, actually, according to the site. Knowing what I do of normal discounts to wholesalers, someone dumped that for a loss, whether it was the distributor who sold it to Angolz or Angolz themselves; Still, a sold item is worth more to a dealer at 60% off than an unsold item collecting dust on the shelf for full MSRP.

That's an interesting opinion of the CMs. Besides being all plastic, what do you not like about it? I've heard some people criticize the fact that it's not completely line-art accurate, and others don't like that the link-up isn't secure enough to fly the toy around, but generally it's been recieved as a quality toy. I've had the blue one since it came out and it's one of the best toys in my collection. Great paint, detail, build quality. The plastic is sturdy and it feels like a toy. The Legioss doesn't peg together in fighter mode, but the friction on mine is enough to hold everything in place.
Sorry to hear yours didn't meet your expectations. And I would advise to not place too many expectations on the Toynami release. Their Legioss/Alpha was by many accounts a failure (and the Aoshima release was a massive failure) of a toy so even if the Beta turns out OK there wouldn't be anything worthwhile to attach it to.

Interesting. My own Legioss/Tlead set is sitting under my desk at work right now, and I'm anticipating breaking it out when I get home. We shall see...
