Heh. You anti-Toynami fanatics are just pissed that they've made a toy you can't say crap about. BTW, some of us 'more discerning' toy collectors who've been around a bit more than you still get a 'wow' out of diecast for the sake of diecast. Why do you think SOCs, Brave Gokins, Miracle House Gokins, etc. use so much metal? Just to provide structural integrity?

Shaggydog, why is it that you only pop out of the woodwork to incite arguments? I remember the Mospeada thread well at Macross World. After everyone was done with their tantrums I posted something along the lines of "I hope the Beta turns out fine and that people are happy with it" and you tried to restart the flame war by accusing ME of trying to restart the flame war - even though I had very little participation in that b*tch-fest. So please, don't try to stir up that same kind of stew here. You have this rather tired black & white sort of thinking that people can only be pro or anti something. Why can't someone criticize something without being a 'hater' or 'anti'? I'm sick of this sh*t on toy forums. It's almost impossible to have a decent, intelligent discussion about something without someone trying to pick a fight, throw stones, pick sides, etc.
Your comments are completely uncalled for and completely off-base. Your swaggering self-affirmation of "some of us who have been around more than you" pretty much proves where your intent is. You don't know how long any of us have 'been around' or been collecting. As if that even makes a difference. And read back a few sentences where you will see that I said I LIKE DIECAST.
I apologize to everyone for this rant but I find it absolutely ludicrous that someone can make post after post after post after post saying nothing but "CMs sucks" "CMs isn't as good" "CM's isn't worth $50" with barely any explanation or detail to support their opinion and nobody, NOBODY calls them an "Anti CMs fanatic" or really extends any kind of hostility to them at all. Yet for all of my comments on how I like Toynami, I wish them success, but I'm not completely happy with their product (even though I still buy their stuff *SHOCK!!*) suddenly I'm branded an "anti Toynami fanatic".
Am I the only one who sees the insanity in this?

well i have to say i do really like toynami BETA and i was kinda disapointed when i finally got my 2 CM tread , maybe is becuase iam an old collector and it made me feel like the good old days , like when we had the takas Valkyries .
I really can see the difference on both of the betas becuase i hava both and keep on transforming them to have it on display i really think the TOYNAMI beats the CM , i am not saying that CM is bad but to me is not as good as Toynami .
is just an honest opinion and i think that all old time collectors like some sort of diecast on their toys don u agree?

I completely respect your opinion and understand why you like diecast so much. I like it too. But I don't agree that "all old time collectors like some sort of diecast in their toys". I've been collecting these things for a very long time and I have toys with no die cast at all that I like just as much as those with die cast. My satisfaction with a toy goes far beyond how much it weighs. The point here is that everyone has different tastes and it doesn't get us anywhere to make broad generalizations. Some people prefer diecast, some don't, some hate it, some are indifferent. I like it, but I don't require it.

Mayita- As for the Beta, regardless of what I think about it, I'm glad you like it. I'd probably be happy with it too if it were the only one available. But it's not. I happen to like the CMs one better, and that's not so much a knock at Toynami as it is....I don't know, personal preference. I wish Megahouse, Bandai, Yamato and Takara would all make one so there were even more choices and more happy fans. My interest here isn't to pick sides, it's basically just to enjoy Mospeada and to experience that enjoyment with other fans.
I see way too much picking of sides in this hobby, weather it's Yamato vs. Bandai, Hasbro vs. Takara, CMs vs. Toynami, etc. They all have positives and negatives, they all have elements that cater to different desires, and weather they make great toys or sh*tty toys they're all basically good for the hobby because the alternative is either ONE company making toys or NONE. And those aren't good alternatives. But what am I saying? Side-choosing is certainly not something limited to this hobby. Coke vs. Pepsi, Ford vs. Chevy, Burger King vs. McDonalds, Republican vs. Democrat, alligator vs. crocodile. I went to high school in a very small farming town and the vs. mentality made it all the way to tractors (John Deere vs. International!)
Competition is good, it keeps the companies/factions on their toes, but I just wish people would get a little less wrapped up in the cheerleading.

Why shouldn't I get upset when someone calls me something I most assuredly am not? I'm not anti Toynami now, nor have I ever been. I always make sure to balance my criticisms of Toynami with reasons why I LIKE them. I've bought a lot of Toynami toys over the years. I think it's fantastic that there is a domestic company that makes toys from so many different animation properties. I fully support them as a company and I wish them continued prosperity. I also love my country, but that doesn't mean there aren't things wrong with it and that I shouldn't criticize anything.

Remember everyone, toys are fun! Yacolog's Part 3 (p)review of the Beagle Ride Armor: Transformed! wildcats.pupui.jp/mt/archives/2008/12/sneak_review_pa_3.html...I didn't realize, until I looked at this, that the Beagle Ride Armor is COMPLETELY Perfect Transformation, even down to the armguards being mounted on expanding and collapsing pistons. That's AWESOME. I want one.

I have the red, green, and dark versions of the CM'S Legioss. I like them a lot because I'm a big fan of the Mospeada anime. I also want to get a Toynami Beta, but the price is a bit too high for me right now with all the other toys I have in my list of purchases. Also, I wish there's a decent Alpha to connect the Beta with.

eriku,
GET EM!!! LOL....just playin....but you know I got your back on certain things. It is true what you say about Shaggy. He does seem to just "pop up" when it is to start some sh*t. Anyways....I could be called anti-toynami. I don't care....cause it is "mostly" true.
Mayita,
eriku has a VERY valid point. No one should be calling someone something that they are surely not. I have know eriku through the boards for quite some time and he is NOT anti-toynami.
quinjester,
THANKS MATE for the linky! Although I was just lurking the MW and saw that posted there as well.......BEAGLE = BAD ASS!!! I just wish I had a job so I could buy it. And...OMG....it's f*ing PT! I can't believe it myself. SOOOOOO COOL!

What......no comment?!? I would have thought you would for sure have left a comment mentioning how Toynamis diecast rocks or something . Jenius does a great vs review. I liked how he presented it and feel he treated each figure equally. I told him I thought the score he gave the Toynami Beta was just and IMO the CMs looks better (all except for the link up). BUT, that is prob. cause I am not a Robotech fan. I never really have been. Mospeada was kinda alright. I like the Ride Armor a lot. I also said that I would not mind having a Shadow Alpha + Betta sittin on my shelf one day. ONLY in fighter + bomber mode. But right now I have Yamato 1/60 v.2 VF-1s to worry about.
