Lookin' Great Mr. Chen! I love the way you grouped all the Armored/Stacked Anime Fighters! ^_^ -B How is the Gerwalk mode working out for you? What do you think of the transformation?

Thanks, yeah the only reason all those fighters are grouped together is because I can't find room for them so there just sitting on my desk lol. I'm getting a spare room ready so I can keep all my collectibles in it and have more display area. I haven't transformed it yet but when I get time I'll fool around with it, I will give a shout out that this set comes with an extra piece to make Gerwalk mode more stable plus it also comes with the extra Tornado accessories that were previously only a Tamashii exclusive.

What is the new piece? pics??
The bigger issue with Gerwalk is that its too long. The original VF-! has a shorter ass for lack of a better term. In Anime you can make either look great, but in real 3D parts the VF-25 will never look as good in gerwalk mode.

It's a piece of plastic with two swing down arms which I guess is suppose to keep the legs forward. When I get home I'll scan the instructions and post em.

That's a similar piece to that which was included with the full armor packs, I think.

I think your right, looking at Glaws pictures above you can see the "strut" bars in place, at least on the Tornado version.

I don't recall gettign that part with my full armor. But definitely still looks yucky. They need to redesign the legs to match the articulation that the Yamato VF-1 has. THe bowing of the legs is essential. Rigid straight legs make for a bad gerwalk pose.

Three different transforming mecha from three different makers ! I've always wanted to display mine like that, unfortunately I haven't gotten any Macross Frontier models yet. Will the GFFMC Zeta Plus make a good substitute? It can gerwalk as well ;D

Sure why not I'm gonna throw in the G-Fighter from the 1/100 Metal Fixx line in there too when I get my display room set up :-) But yeah Gerwalk mode is still pretty weak, but at least the VF-27 and YF-29 are big improvements in that department. Also for all the complaining about the DX line I love this fighter. There's tons of tampo printing and it feels solid and well built plus with all the extra boosters and stuff is pretty large, sure there are some basic design flaws but it is Bandai's first attempt of a variable fighter in how many years. Makes me look forward to the new YF-29 which is suppose to be a few steps beyond this design.
