The image came from the Macross Museum at Wonderfest. THAT is a 1/72 model in the foreground. But the background text reads: 1/60 Chogokin DX Macross Frontier VF-25's 1. VF-25 Ozma Lee 2. VF-25 Alto Saotome

Hmmmm... at 1/60 scale, the VF-25's look like they're about the same size as the original VF-1's. If it's under "DX Chogokin" that could mean we're looking at a VF transforming toy WITH diecast! The prototypes look pretty good so far. Also, since it's going to be made by Bandai, we're likely to be looking at better quality and cheaper Valks! Good! Thanks for posting the pics!

Yeah. I am totally for a new design valk with a cheaper price, more diecast content, and sturdier structure. Think this will be a new valk for me after a long break on the Yamato's.

According to what was shown in the first four episodes there are at least five variants that Bandai COULD make (clockwise from top left). 1. VF-25S (Ozma Lee) 2. VF-25 (Alto Saotome) 3. VF-25G (Michael Blanc) 4. RVF-25 (Luca Angeloni 5. VF-25 (Cannon Fodder scheme) NOT PICTURED

They look nice.
A little too sleek for my tastes, but nice none-the-less. Battroid designs remind me of Aquarion, more than a classic Battroid.

Well, to be fair, we've been getting toys of the classic battroid design for the last umpteen years. A change is as good as a rest. I can't wait to see more advanced versions of these designs from Bandai.

maybe I'm wrong here with this fred... but I was wondering about those Bandai "Origin of Valkyrie" figures.... I saw some up for early bird preordering at HLJ but unfortunately no pictures (they have the VF-1J Hikaru, VF-1A Hikkaru, VF-1A MAX and VF-1S Fokker) does anyone know what to expect of them... and maybe some pictures? greatly appreciated.

Pics from Shizuoka Hobby Show! That looks like a 1/100 Vajra next to the 1/72 VF-25.

I wonder what Bandai's VF-25 will cost and when it'll be released. Any news of whether it'll be all plastic or feature some diecast?

Yes yes yes! That looks awesome! EDIT: Hmm.... scuttlebutt says that may be a model kit instead of the toy version. Doesn't make it any less awesome looking, though.
