No, I don't believe that's the new figure. It looks like a model kit. But thanks for posting, tho!

yeah, niko is right. that is the latest 1/100 MG model kit figure of the RX-78-2 Gundam, "One Year War" video game version. nice weathered finish too.

Did you guys notice that the blue is darker than the usual blue Bandai usually use for RX-78-2?! Also the red is darker, almost maroon! Awesome product nonetheless. I hope they are planning to releaze the Zeta Gundam or the GP-01Fb Zephyrantes too!

very nice!!! tnx for sharing bro! btw, i think i like the darker shades of blue and red niko. the red is closer to italian red when compared to Tamiya's paint color chart. really sharp colors, and will look good on the figure. factory fresh RX-78-2, sans the faded and weathered after-battle look

check this out, close up of the head part... VERY NICE!!! btw, are orange parts ABS plastic (hard plastic), and gray parts diecast??? (please help on translation guys) anyways, i don't mind a minimal diecast content, so long as everything is SOC quality

I knew it!! Thank God I made the preorder! Its about time the RX-78-2 has a decent gokin representation! This mech totally rules! I hope Bandai makes a habit of releasing 1/100 Metal Fix figures (well, once every 3 or 4 month will be OK since my budget is tight)!!
Awesome update, vic01, thanks for posting!
Rats, I just realized. This base design will probably come with a whole bunch of variation. Perfect Gundam, anyone?

So it doesn't come with the flight stand, does it? If not, then I might consider to get the action base for it. Between, if this line's quality will truly turn out as good as or beyond expected, I might consider to quit collecting its original smaller series. Hopefully, the next Metal Composite (MC) figure will not be RX78 variation because I am getting sick of the annual release of its variation in the original series. Bandai, allow my favourite Wing Zero Custome or Nu Gundam to be the next MC figure PLEASE so that I could end up the collection of GFF series.

i hope they release them in successive pairs. after amuro's RX-78-2 gundam, char's red zaku will follow. then GP-01Fb and GP-02. then Strike Freedom and Impulse Destiny, and so on. wishful thinking hehe

I think they might release Zeonography Metal Composite series sooner or later so that Char's Red Zaku could get released. hehehe..

oh yeah i forgot, fix series has 3 sub series- gundam fix, zeonography, and cosmic region wonder if the sub series will also apply to the diecast fix line.
