I swear Bandai is pulling our legs... Check the new detail of the new 1/144 "Super" HCM Pro RX-78-2 (from AEUG Blognote): - 21 opening hatches - Full weapons loadout (including super napalm) - Transforming core fighter - Some diecast parts - Display Base For a price of 7140 yen! Then check out the pic here: www6.ocn.ne.jp/~midori-b/newpic/nes-g0730.htmMy new GFF Metal Composite 1:100 RX-78-2 is much more expensive and it couldn't do half of the thing this little b@st@rd can do... We've been ripped off by Bandai, I tell you!! Well, for those who doesn't have enough Gundams, get it!

Thanks for the link. It looks simply amazing for 1/144 scale figure. It looks even better than my 1/100 scale MG RX-78. It has even more gimmicks (on the robot itself) than the GFF Metal Composite. At least the GFF Metal Composite is a little different in that it's a Ka version whereas this Super HCM Pro is not. If I get this, I may just want to get rid of all the other 1/144 scale RX-78's I have. Now if Bandai would go beyond the RX-78 with this (hopefully) series and release the GP-01 or GP-03 or Sentinel in Super HCM Pro format.

BTW, is that a retractable undercarriage on that core fighter? If so, that would be first since no core fighter has ever featured that as far as I know.

D@mn, this piece beats almost all RX-78-2 version up to today (with the exception with the perfect grade, that is)!! MannyD will be so happy... I wonder what Bandai has in stock for the next super HCM-Pro line! I'm sure that a GP01 or GP03 is highly probable!

Congrats, Bro . I will stick to the GFF-1001 for a little more before I decide whether to get this or not... I hope Bandai doesn't decide to release a Hyper HCMPro line with scale of 1:100 and all metal parts. That will be the real bummer ;D ;D!

I was wondering when it was going to come up for preorder at HLJ. I didn't see it on the website just a day or two ago.

Holy cow! I didn't think it would be possible to get me to look at another RX78/2, but this thing looks great. So this figure will be all ABS? That sounds even better.

I saw those pix on the amiami website. I agree it does look like a mini Perfect Grade. Amazing detail for such a small figure! I also noticed that the cockpit opens on the little core fighter. Glaw, thanks for letting us know about the preorder status since early bird price only lasts for about a week.

Any word yet on which parts will feature metal? I'm guessing that at least the chains will be metal, but what about the Gundam itself?

I'm glad I stopped collecting MSiA and GFF. I'll need the money to buy this new line which looks to be far better than either MSiA or GFF. Can't wait to see what's next for this series.

With these much features, I think I'll skip the bigger and more expensive Gundam Fix Figuration Metal Composite #1001 for this ;D

The only problem is that the Metal Composite GFF #1001 is the Version Ka with updated design while the Super HCM Pro is the older design and smaller.
I can't wait to see a Super HCM Pro ZETA Gundam. I was just playing with the 1/200 HCM Pro Zeta and was impressed with the engineering that went into something so tiny. Sure it doesn't have perfect transformation (you have to remove and replace a waist piece and remove the hands), but it does have loads of moving parts. With a bigger figure, the details that could be incorporated (like perfect transformation) would make it even more impressive.
I'm guessing though that the next one will be a Zaku II so you can display it together with the RX-78-2.
