I hope this line takes off though my wallet doesn't. It'll get expensive if Bandai cranks these out like the GFF or MSiA series. If you love gimmicks and playability, this is the line to get into. If you're mainly into displaying your Gundams, then GFF might be fine. I was tempted to get some GFF because that line had the only versions of some of the more obscure Gundams. I held back because of the material used in the GFF's leading to floppiness. I also wasn't thrilled with the painting quality of the GFF.

in close inspection of the pics, the paint finish is not perfect as GFF metal composite RX-78-2 Gundam's. that dampen my interest a bit. though this figure is more playable than GFF metal composite and the opening hatches are cool.
but because i cant afford getting them all, im still thinking- get this and follow this (semi expensive) Super HCM-Pro line. or not yet and just continue with GFF metal composite (which are expensive but worth it because they have diecast, 1/100 scale and have high quality design and finish) and Master Grade kits.

I have the 1/144 Wing Zero Custom model kit on the shelf up over the monitor. It's the same one I used in Doesn't Play Well. I like the 1/60 scale figures, and the 1/144 scale, but for some reason the 1/100 scale doesn't excite me. I expected the 1/200 scale figures to be very cool, but for some reason when I actually saw them I didn't jump. Like I said before, this piece has my imagination. There is also a model kit of the same Gundam available at BBTS, but it costs more than the toy. The kit might be fun, especially if it includes all the same stuff as the toy. You could have the option of doing a finer job of detailing the figure than you could possibly get from a factory version. Just a thought.

This Super HCM Pro (1/144) seems to blow away my MG RX-78-2 kit (1/100) even though it's smaller. It seems the only thing the MG kit has going for it is the larger size. The Super HCM Pro is far more detailed with all the tampo printing and painted interiors. I'll bet it's also better articulated from looking at the pictures. Sure I like my Metal Composite GFF RX-78 Ver Ka. with the G-armor, but I'm not sure I would've gotten it if it'd been released at the same time as the Super HCM Pro, especially if this had been packaged with the G-Armor. I've already decided to not get the next GFF Metal Composite, the Psyco Gundam. Now that this line has begun, I'll save my money for more Super HCM Pros instead.
