I would love to see a SoC Genesic GaoGaiGar. What are peoples opinions on the Max Gokin version? STAY AWAY FROM THE MAX GOKIN VERSION! Owned it, looked beautiful but it broke into so many pieces that I tossed it in the garbage. Later versions got better but IMHO the SRC GGGG is way better even if it's a little smaller. By the time I took this picture the MF GGGG was pretty much totally glued together and was immovable.

It's not that Bandai failed in making a anime accurate Golion/Voltron, they had design studies which was shown in the latest SOC book of three possible versions of GX-71, one of them show accurate, they just chose to go with a updated version of the old Godaikin which probably turned out to be the best decision.
Hiding the legs would be easy, they already do it for the arms on the Playmates version and the legs should be just as easy. The main reason these turn out the way they do is because of costs and scale of economics to sell these at certain price points for a specific market. Now take that away, have a company with a bigger budget, way more experience in building these types of products, aiming for a higher-end clientele, and willing to price these in a different market segment. I'm sure a different company or even Playmates with could build a better Voltron, all it takes is $$$$ and customers willing to pay the extra $$$$$.

To me these all look kinda derpy with the non-combining ones looking the best. I wonder if this series is popular in Asia then hopefully someone else like Bandai or Takara can take over. A SOC or even a SRC of this Voltron would be a hundreds times better then the Playmates stuff.

Let's just accept that different people like different things, no one is right or wrong.

That's quite a list of changes to a pretty nice figure initially, I wonder what they will do to Dancouga since that is a much older design.

Are there 2 scranders that come with this? And if so...why? At least two sets of wings, the Kaiser Scrander has wings that will lengthen or shorten when it attaches to Mazinkaiser depending on the need. So Mazinkaiser just standing there the wings are shorter but when it needs to fly they get longer, plus it just a visual thing.

www.gokin.it/2017/03/31/aggiornamento-bandai-soul-of-chogokin-gx-39-r-baikanfu-ristampa-settembre-2017/Google translate. "Then finally we try to do some 'clarity on the new reissue of Soul of Chogokin GX-39 Baikanfu. It is a new "R" version identified as R GX-39 came to the 20th anniversary of the line S.o.c. In the screenshot that we present below we have personally brought out the parts that have been subject to a renewal of design. The head will be completely new as well as the breast, now pià detailed and rich in air intakes. The biceps with its branches have been completely redesigned is now in fact disappeared quell'antiestetico and excessive space that separated them from the shoulders. Revised also forearms on the inside. New also the articulation of the hips and thighs of the panels equipped now small air vents in the inner part. It seems that perhaps his feet will be involved in a redesign, this explains why the increase in the price list. The new version "R" will be released in the month of September 2017 to 25,000 yen. As will be released new information we will update you."

I believe the top line says Soul of Chogokin, while the bottom has to many "characters" to spell out DYNAMIC CLASSICS, it has 17 instead of 15 for that too work. But who knows lol.

This isn't part of the D.C line since it does not have the D.C designation in the description. tamashii.jp/item/11785/

I wonder if there will be a accessory pack, doesn't the gold shoulder pads extend and turn into a Scrander for Emperor G?

I've been trying to watch clips from SRW V but it's so convoluted and forced that's it's a little disconnected. My question is if Mazin Emperor G is as powerful as Mazinkaiser and is meant to take on Mazinger Zero where is Mazinkaiser anyways?

I could really care less about poseability if I did I would collect Revoltechs or the like, for me toy collecting is emotional and these new DC SOC's just hit me in the nostalgia gut. I could care less if these figures can't do the splits or that over played Iron Man pose, for me these will pretty much end up being posed like the picture above. Having a figure being about to turn into a pretzel is great for taking nice pictures of action poses but the reality is we do that maybe .5% of the lifetime of the toy.

I see it going up, maybe not as fast or as high as DX Mazinger but once stock dries up sooner or later it will go up. Especially if they make a DX Grendizer and continue the line you WILL get completeists who will want to whole set and sellers who are more than welcome to oblige at a healthy mark-up off course.

Let's move on, obviously each line has it's own direction and design sensibilities that help niche out for them a piece in a very crowded market. We can all agree that the SOC line was perhaps the largest reason for the creation of this market, we can all agree that there are now way more companies in this market now then ever before. Some things they do better than Bandai like innovation which is "easier" in a smaller company compared to Japan's largest and things Bandai can do just because it's the largest Japanese toy company out there.
Ultimately it's up to the customer, and like the variety of toys out there the customer base is just as varied.

For Gattaiger the helmet was blue, so I have no idea why they would make it yellow unless it's from a manga cover or just because they want to.
