I was telling my friend after the movie I was hoping Grendizer, Mazinkaiser and others would come to help like this video short. We were also talking about how the Mazingers had like unlimited power and ammo without like overheating or failing like the anime.

Got to love Bandai marketing getting collectors to buy into a new line by enticing us with characters we want in SRC. 😂 I assuming prices for these will vary depending on character similar to their DC and SoC. I’m fool for that Daitarn-3. I know what’s going to happen. I’m going to buy one and then want them all. I know you reading this Bandai but I’m not going to fall for it.

I have all the 7 Unicorns and acquired them recently. They do all like good together as well. You have think that most of GFFMC have real transforming mode not just bunch of weapons and jet packs. So you will have some lack of articulation in comparison to metal build. Too much articulation and real transformation asking for loose joints or scratched up paint. Now is good time to buy them they are cheap price compared when they first came out and were in demand. I got few them below the intitial retail release price. What about the white plastic of the Unicorn yellowing over time? I've seen some examples from people that never exposed their GFF Unicorn to the sun and the figure turned yellow after about a year. I have one of the Metal Composite Blast Impulse figures that also turned yellow over time without sun exposure and a non smoking household, while some of the accessories I left in the box stayed white. My Unicorns are all nice White color and they been in box whole time from original owners or online purchase. Only exception is Prism coat. That one has certain discoloring. I don’t think the previous owner took care of it but I think that was notoriously known to discolor. They all just display well together, keep one destroy and another in regular unicorn mode.

No poster either. I asked about it too and they didn’t have any. Did they hand them to you or have them laid out on table? They were handed to us as we paid for our tickets. Ah ok I preordered them. Seems like some theaters employees are oblivious to it. I talked to the manager he looked around and found pile of them. He gave me 3. I went to bigger theater where I know they will have it.

Looking at all you guys post about getting this has driven me to purchase. Any good recommendations? I see direct, LCM and some eBay vendors? Any place other places? Toyz-king and LCM are the same at least when I got my Paypal receipt. I went with Toyz-King and was very happy with their service. They are very good at message communication. Im refraining from buying the regular version. 😂 I don’t need it I don’t it.

I ordered a Dark Voltron from toyz-king on Ebay and the item came within a week of purchasing via DHL. What's interesting is, according to the tracking, it went from Hong Kong to Korea (for some reason). When I saw it went to Korea, which was on a Saturday, I was thinking there's no way the package is getting to me by Monday. Much to my surprise it went from Korea to Los Angeles to SF in 2 days and arrived on Monday as scheduled. I was so satisfied I ordered a second one a few days ago. Yes, exact same experience with me as I live in SoCal. DHL is way to go. On flip side, I bought something from TF-direct and it took over a month because it went all the way to USPS ISC New York. I’m like why the hell does it go all way to east coast then back to west coast. I learn my lesson from that website shipping service. I thought my item was lost and emailing stating it was lost because tracking didn’t update.

Just got mine today. Combined without sound affects. Only pain for me are those wrists attachment mechanism. One of them didn’t want to stay in place but finally got it to work. I’m fearing Combattler will skate away and fall with those wheel feet. Too bad there’s no locking mechanism so he won’t wheel off on his back. I was little let down with hip articulation and really wanted some articulated fingers. The semi-soft hands I guess will do.
Overall I’m glad I got it since I was skeptic of what we get for the cost. I paid $517 so not as bad $600+ at some places I see go for and at retail shops. Personally don’t think its worth $600+ but that’s just me. $450-$500 would be good. Oh and it’s real heavy too which made me smile. The shelf prescene alone just looks damn good. It’s dead center of my display case And will be there until something new and better knocks it off. Guess my old GX will be shown the door now.

Yeah they look like vinyl mega size modern machinders like 1/48 scale.

Yeah diecast content which equates to price range is the unknown I like to know. The scale is already turning me off. I’m trying to keep my collection scale at a certain height. Small stuff gets overshadowed with the way my collection is going. So this might be trigger to make me unload most of my SRC.

If they're as tall as SOC counter parts, I'm in. If they're SRC size, I'm still in, but I'd be a bit disappointed lol. Exactly. Oh and if these are price range $175-200 or more then “I’m out” Shark Tank style.

Ahhh what will sell or pass for me is once I see comparison with SRC and SOC combiner height. If it’s in middle as we think it is then I don’t think I will commit to the line. Got to love all toy lines always pushing new scale or rehash of something to get you to buy more of same stuff. 😂

the light up and sounds gimmicks are a key feature in the DX line, its like you are saying i want the SOC to have less diecast lol im still waiting for mine, EMS time now is 6 days (and counting) Not really for me. I have both DX Mazingers and sound and light gimmick didn't interest me all. It's more novelty thing if anything. Put batteries in light up or twice then forget about the batteries. I bought both DX for scale and removable armor as I don't like 1/100 gokins. To me old school godaikins and jumbo machinders are all about shooting gimmicks. I guess I'm too old school. Don't have to worry about removing batteries or if they leak. One feature why I decided to buy Dark Icarus Voltron was shooting fist and of course unique color. Grant it I have two SoC Voltrons already. As for diecast Bandai isnt using more diecast for what they are charging for items these days. With exception SoC Voltron . I bought two 3rd party items that have same or more diecast than SoC Voltron and cost under $200 each shipped. I'm getting my DX Combattler V this Friday. So will see if wins me over.

I'm not interested installing batteries in. I'll do it maybe once and that's it. Would be cool if Bandai did two version and different prices. Like $350-400 for non sound light up gimmick. I'd rather see fist firing and missile shooting gimmicks! 😀 the light up and sounds gimmicks are a key feature in the DX line, its like you are saying i want the SOC to have less diecast lol im still waiting for mine, EMS time now is 6 days (and counting) Not really for me. 😂 funny some of these sellers slap some outrageous prices sometimes. Actually somebody just listed SoC Voltron at $1000.00 so that's Aile Strike is deal. 😂

I ordered this on Jan. 17 from LCM and I'm still waiting for this to ship. But then over the last two weeks I saw it in-store at Toy Arena at Frank and Sons and Anime King, the latter selling it for $280 total. I guess I could have gotten the item from them and be messing with the figure by now. 🤨 Yeah I was Anime King and saw regular Voltron version too and DX Combattler V but for $600 then add tax be over $650. I ordered something too from China and literally took good month and package had huge hole marks and box damage. It was aggravating. I Elected to get Dark Voltron via DHL and took few days. I don't mind paying little extra for prompt shipping. Longer something sits in transit it's prone to get damage, lost or drive you crazy waiting.

I admit I slept on this one(Dark Lion) luckily is readily available for now. Seamlessly Looks great standing next to SoC Voltron. Only gripe is wrist move easily when placing sword in lions mouth hand. It feels like sleek streamline version of SoC. However, it didn't wow me that I had to have the regular color version.
