Maybe it’s just website I ordered from. Unless ET or HLJ made an update. I actually got an email from 1999 few days ago saying release was pushed back. First time me buying from 1999.

Yeah I think it really depends geographically where you from too. I swear I feel like I’m only super robot collector in my big city.
Vintage stuff is great but honestly the new stuff just looks aesthically pleasing to me and lot of others. I collect lot of toys past
And new stuff just appeals to new generation. Of course there are kids that like older stuff but very rare you see that.
I mean you put old Godaikin next to modern version the average non collector person will most likely pick one that looks pleasing to the eye. If you don’t tell them the age, rarity and worth they mostly wouldn’t care.
I talked younger guy who works at toy shop and he tells me I’m one of very few in SoCal that knows what all his jumbo machinders characters in display are. I also talked to my friend in another collector shop and he tells me I’m only one that will ask about Japanese vintage. He even traded me box Daltanious for loose plastic Marvel Legends!! Lol because he know he could sell Marvel Legends faster than the Godaikin. He still gives me crap jokingly like “Man I traded you box Japanese vintage for plastic loose Marvel figures!”
Personally I love vintage since I grew up with it but I don’t seek it as much as I do New modern releases.

So far Bandai is striking out with me buying anything from them for 2018. 😂
Gatchaman Phoenix or a transforming SDF-1 are ships that will get my attention. 😀

Yeah I agree, can’t really compare the two until more information is disclose on the Action toys. All we see is one or couple photos and it’s just standing straight. True comparison is with them side by side and going over features, diecast and articulation. Photography angles and lighting can make difference too.
Action is more SOC renewal but bigger size and Evolution is more of modern rendition DX Godaikin in my eyes. Evolution is geared towards collectors like me. I like how the panels open and don’t forget one of my favorite features articulated fingers! Something I still wish the DX Combattler had. I can let go of shooting fist for articulate fingers now. I don’t have problem either buying Action Toys in the future if features check off all my list.
Don’t forget the next number in line is Daiku Mariyu after Grendizer. Thing gonna be massive!!

DX Combattler V is the heaviest SoC. Thing is just damn heavy. Worried about my DX shelf now. Yeah obviously I’m old school. I’d rather have no Tetsujin 28 than small one.That huge Godaikin is what I remember T28 as. I passed on SoC few times already. If Bandai makes DX I have no problem throwing down money on one. But right now my collection has void and needs to be filled. 😀 like I said on earlier comment this can be placeholder for now. I don’t mind taking the risk either buying it that’s how bad I want this character in my collection but it can’t be small.
I saw the Godaikin at anime jungle for $1200 incomplete and broken one. So what they asking for modern one is like small change to vintage.

My 2 cents is to wait for the inevitable Bandai DX SOC version.... Yes it could be years away but it will be so overwelmly better. Yeah I won’t be able to enjoy this when I’m 75 years old if they continue with current numbering schemes. 😂😜 |

I’m getting this for sure already ordered months ago. I can’t wait for Bandai for their DX version knowing they only do one every 2 years.
I want to retire or take a break from mecha collecting and this is missing piece besides couple of others. I have other hobbies I have to go back to that I put on hold. 😀

Is there any confirmation from Bandai stating SRC line is going away?I mean they still use SRC Mazinger Z mold to death to make Tamashii Nations exclusives and still have Gurren Lagann. I know they are repaints but personally hate to see line go away. They made some obscure robots in that line.

Hello everyone! I was wondering where everyone bought the Qant00 Metal Build. I bought mine on eBay from Animeking_inc. They supposedly shipped it out on the 9th, but no updates have been made after looking at tracking. I even called and the customer service was very fishy. Making weird excuses! Has anyone had problems with the before? I'm so worried I was just there at retail shop couple weeks ago and I did see Qant00 in there display case. They have big warehouse full of stuff. However, customer service to me isn’t one of their strong points. My friend and I were only ones there not once did acknowledge us while we walked around the shop. Maybe they oversold the item? |
