Thanks for starting this thread chogoman! Funny that Gappa is pictured in the Destroy all Monsters poster. Any idea how/why that came about? I absolutely love that Godzilla on Monster Island/Godzilla VS Gigan poster. Radar on. Mars Men/Mars Adam is a Thai/Japanese co-production. Ref - www.mjsimpson.co.uk/reviews/marsmen.htmlThat's definitely a keeper! Do you display your posters or are they rolled away? I frame mine up pretty quick and display them in the same room with the toys. I am fast outgrowing the space though. Framed posters take up quite a bit of room. I need another house for the collection!

The image for the GHIDRAH poster came from one of the Japanese hand-tinted lobby cards for the film.
The image for GODZILLA ON MONSTER ISLAND (aka GODZILLA VS. GIGAN) came from the Japanese release poster.
The image for MONSTER ZERO came from the Italian release poster.
The image for GODZILLA 1985 came from the US release poster.
The image for KING KONG ESCAPES came from the Japanese release poster.
The image for YOG (aka SPACE AMEOBA) comes from Toho's international release poster.
MARS MEN is an Italian-dubbed version of a Thai-Japanese co-production (localized for Thai audiences), based on a 1973 superhero television series, JUMBORG ACE, created and produced by Tsuburaya Productions (the makers of Ultraman). The film was officially shot under the title JUMBORG ACE & GIANT, and was released in Thailand as GIANT & JUMBO A. The image on the poster is sourced from the HK/Taiwanese release.

nice to hear that you like it guys. sketchersorry, i don't have a idea what Gappa is doing on the Godzilla poster. I think its "turkish-artistic-freedom" Most of my posters are rolled away, unfortunately, but i have some special favorites framed. All the showcases with robots etc take up much room....thats the destiny of a collector augusthey, thanks for the infos august, specially about Mars Men. I never saw that film, but the mixture of ultraman like and thai-style characters looks really cool. I have another 3 lobby cards from Mars Men

Monday is Gappa-Day ;D today i show you some Gappa stuff from germany. Gappa posters are a "bit"" harder to find in germany than other kaiju stuff. lets start with the 1971 A1 (23 x 33 inches) Poster german title: "Gappa, Frankenstein's flying monsters" this is the later release A1 poster (real hard to find) new title: "Invasion of the flying beasts" little A4 poster from germany promo material Lots of kaiju films in germany are titled with "Frankenstein" or "King Kong", even they have nothing to do with these characters. For example: "Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla" is called "King Kong vs Godzilla" in germany. I think we germans like big apes ;D

That first Rodan poster is great - its not often you see dead bodies littering the streets in these posters! With the people burning up in the background, this truly makes for a wonderful family movie.

But i like the style of this poster. german A1 posterfrom 1971 of Gamera vs. Gaos(alternative US title: Return of the giant monsters) In Japan this movie was released in 1967. The german title is: "Gamera v. Gaos - Frankenstein's fight of the monsters" lol....again as usual Frankensteinhere are some lobbyphotos and a A3 miniposter
