ok here's a stupid question.... should anyone be submitting a vote.. even if you don't have any of those toys? I'm afraid I own none of those figs... so I can't say I have a good say whats been the great fig of 09!

Owning the toys is definitely not required in order to vote, since very few would actually own all the toys listed. It would help to at least be familiar to each figure (by reading review, looking a pics, etc.) so the vote is somewhat an educated one.
Wow, a three-way tie. We need a tie breaker.

None of my favorites of 2009 are on that list, but of the ones on that list that I own, the Macross Quarter is easily the 'best'.

eriku, feel free to list out your favorites of 2009. Plus don't forget you can also vote for individual group toty. I keep a spreadsheet to keep track.
Individual groups (for examples for each categories see post #2):
1. Transforming Robots with MSRP Greater than $150 USD. 2. Non-transforming Robots with MSRP Greater than $150 USD. 3. Transforming Robots with MSRP Less than $150 USD. 4. Non-transforming Robots with MSRP Less than $150 USD. 5. Bang for the buck robot with MSRP Less than $50 USD. 6. WORST Toy of The Year

none of these above. TOTY should be attainable to the average joe. Something more like MMPR $25 Megazord or a transformable. I don't have it yet, but the TOTY for robots will prolly be Transformers Universe Bludgeon. Individual groups (for examples for each categories see post #2):
1. Transforming Robots with MSRP Greater than $150 USD. not able to even have a clue on my paycheck 2. Non-transforming Robots with MSRP Greater than $150 USD. nope, don't know 3. Transforming Robots with MSRP Less than $150 USD. Transformers Universe Bludgeon 4. Non-transforming Robots with MSRP Less than $150 USD. HCM Pro Exia (not as fragile as i thot he'd be...very amazing detail) 5. Bang for the buck robot with MSRP Less than $50 USD. MMPR Dino Megazord 6. WORST Toy of The Year The rest of the TFM2 line.

K I only saw this thread just today & why isn't MP Grimlock on the list of toy candidate? Well, it's in the individual group example list in post #2. I was accepting nominations for overall TOTY a month ago but MP Grimlock wasn't nominated. none of these above. TOTY should be attainable to the average joe. Something more like MMPR $25 Megazord or a transformable. I don't have it yet, but the TOTY for robots will prolly be Transformers Universe Bludgeon. Individual groups (for examples for each categories see post #2): 1. Transformers Sideswipe, those action figure ones that don't change 5. Bang for the buck robot with MSRP Less than $50 USD. MMPR Dino Megazord 6. WORST Toy of The Year The rest of the TFM2 line. Are you a fan of transformer? just a hunch. I wouldn't say that those toys aren't affordable by average Joe, I mean, I'm pretty average and I have most of those. It's just a matter of spending priority. There are toys out there that are MUCH more expensive that aren't listed. Some were mentioned in previous threads. I'll add your suggestions to my spreadsheets. Thank you for participating!

Are you a fan of transformer? just a hunch. not of the new movie. I just haven't cared as much for toys this year. I've been way into my retrogaming. I think my pic for $50 toy would be the HCM pro Exia Gundam...i was just not sure if that was made THIS year.

Hey, how come GX-46 is not on the list. That is what I consider to be the TOTY!

is the GX-31V really that great or do we just have lots of Voltes fans here?
Again, if you don't find your TOTY in the poll, vote for individual group toys, see post #1.

I just realized why so many are complaining about the TOTY nominations this year.
Last year it was stickied in every single section! You couldn't miss it if you wanted to. Now, of course it's only in one section. I guess it must have slipped everyone's mind this time around. I didn't remember that small detail until now. Sorry.... ;D
It's too late for TOTY nominations, but how about stickying in every section for the next categories, mods?
