People seem have a distorted souvenir of the die-cast content in G1 toys. It was usually very minimal; toes or a chest, that's about it. Ha ha, it's probably because kids are much smaller than adults, so proportionally, it seems to have more metal when you are younger. WHICH MEANS, proportionally they should add more metal to a toy that is geared towards adult collectors. Maybe I got spoiled by all the SOC...

Someone was smart enough to put a water bottel next to him for scale. Looks like he's Seeker size after all. Even though he isn't as big as Prime he'll probably be priced the same as MP04 considering Grimlock's price. $200 is sounding about right... Emerje

Yup I think both MP Prime & Megs were the exception in terms of their bigger size.
From now onwards I think we can expect the MP line would be more to the scale of the seekers. btw thanks for sharing those pixs Deadman bro.

Just noticed that his head has a lot of parts to it so he probably has a gimmick like the Seekers and Grimlock have. Probably a second face. Looks like his gun can fold up and possibly split in two. Not too crazy about all that kibble on his back while having a large gap in his body. Maybe I'm over analyzing the images, but I swear this figure has all of the right parts to also form Hot Rod. That would explain some of the funny gaps, seemingly redundant hinges, the unnecessary wheels in the legs (the G1 figure only had tiny guide wheels), what I think is the biggest thing of all, the two sets of wings and grips on the gun that makes it seem like it could be split identically into HR's two guns. I'm probably wrong, but I have a really good feeling about this.

Either it also turns in to Hot Rod, or it has a bunch of parts that are over engineered to just be Rodimus Prime.

if it turns into hotrod i hope it still actually looks like hotrod even in car mode. but from the truck pic so far even the cab part looks too fat to be hotrod

Looks like the price and date have been confirmed. 16000 yen which currently equates to $187 USD. I would not be suprised if BBTS raises the price over the $200 they have it listed for. They normally get more markup than that. I still have not placed my preorder but I know I am getting it. Just been waiting on a final price so I can try to shop around a bit. This one is a little too steep for me to just buy at the first place to post the preorder. www.tformers.com/transformers-masterpiece-rodimus-prime-price-and-release-date/14137/news.html

During the past month, I've used a couple of website that sells mainly Transformers toys, and this is one of them. Like Kotoys.com, this one ships out from China. I got my Bruticus set from them, cheapest I can find after skipping out on it at Target a year ago. They package the item in lots of styrofoam and bubble wrap. I don't remember if it had shipping options, I paid 15$ and got EMS shipping, but it still took a good week and a half to receive it with. Still better than Robotkingdom which usually has items at a cheaper price and ships out of Hongkong but has way high prices for normal air parcel. Of course, we have TFSOURSE here in America and BBTS, but both have big markups.

I don't have a G1 Rodimus anymore but if anyone does and have any of the MP's could you post a pic just to get an accurate size idea?
