However, when compared to the CM's Patlabor vinyl figures, the price is almost reasonable for the Duo & Fau. I'll most likely not get them, or the Big-O for that matter, until the price drops considerably. }D

I wish he was right but its more likely that he forgot to put the "1" in front of the 2800 yen price. Here is why:
1. Max Factory figures 2. About one foot tall 3. Very detailed 4. Not very common characters 5. As an example, the price for any special Bandai Ultra Kaiju vinyl that size is already in the 2800 Yen or more range. These are special Max Factory vinyls to go with their very expensive Max Gokin Big-O.
I'll still lean towards the 12800 yen price tag, but will continue to hope for the 2800 Yen one...

Yeah that does seem kinda cheap even for a vinyl, I'll see if I can get some more info from somewhere.

It's on the placards in front of the figures from the show. I don't remember offhand where I stashed those images, but it's 12800 yen, plain as day. (Well, okay, it's kind of blurry and hard to read, but it's definitely a five-digit price.)

Yeah I think that's a typo, looking at there prices 2,800YEN would barely get you one of their Figma figures. So at 12,800 YEN for each plus how ever much you spend on Big-O, you gonna have one shelf with over $600+ in just three figures. Wow. Then again it really isn't that bad when you think of some of the prices we pay for stuff in this hobby.

I really like the texture, reminds me of old cast iron.

I love the texturing (I've loved it ever since they first showed prototypes of this, what, two - three years ago?), but I can't say I love the big honking-huge seams on the arms. Hopefully they're less pronounced on production versions . For the price of this thing, I'd like to not see seams that look like I just put together a cheapo model kit, hah.

I'm pretty sure I saw pics of them that totally were in the same scale. I think someone is playing with a fish eye lens in that photo or is overdoing some overly dramatizing photoshop tricks or something. EDIT: Big Duo is specced at 320mm, Big O at 300mm. There's nowhere NEAR as big a size difference as that photo shows. I'd say it's an unfortunate combination of perspective and a white-out background - Big O is obviously much farther back in that camera shot than he appears to be as a result. Not that this will stop people from ignoring this and panicking www.toy-world.com.hk/forum/viewthread.php?tid=30004&extra=page%3D2It would make no sense for Max Factory to make Big Duo and Big Fau and not put them in the same scale as Big O. Especially since they're marketing them together.

it could be the angle but it doesn't make sense why some people will fiddle with their lens or photoshop with a straight forward magazine pic. i could be wrong but it appears in these pics that big duo and big fau are taller than big o. i hope not.
