Yesterday I received an SRC GaoGaiGar from Amazon. Turned out to be the First Release version, with extremely loose hip joints. They were so loose it could not even stand on its own. Today it's on it way back to Amazon for a full refund... }|

The lift in my Mazinger Hanger broken within minutes of coming out of the box and my SOC Raideen has a floppy leg the makes god-bird mode a joke. YeeeeeeeOUCH! Oh Yeah, the GX-01X, the horror the horror. I've heard about the motor inside that Maz hangar burning out and such, from many folks. That thing needs a re-build with a better design and functionality. As for the SOC Raideen, have you tried tightening the leg joint by its screw? zozo-mag

The motor is not the problem 99% of the time. There is a small orange plastic cog that breaks at the base, so it just spins but nothing else moves. Bandai should've made those out of metal... }D

Any chance of reproducing that orange cog with a metal one made with JB Steel Weld putty?

If not, one could probably be reproduced from an intact one.

Yeah, I though about the R/C parts, but never followed through. It is kind of a pain to take the hangar apart, so I just left it as is for the meantime. }D

I have only one hanger and I replaced that one orange plastic gear with a metal one many years ago and it worked, and still does to this day. I took the gear off the end of an electric motor for an old Strombecker slot car that no longer worked. It was an absolute fluke but it was the right size gear to replace the one in the hanger.

Any body else run into the same issue that chachipower had with the Toynami Voltron yellow lion (loose butt flap)? If so, is there a fix for it?
