"clues" Not clues! Those are 100% rip-off of the Japanese originals. To me that is total lack of originality. Even little kids can come up with their own designs, so why couldn't the Koreans Super Robot anime creators do the same. Obviously they can make incredibly awesome figures, so why just steal Go Nagai's ideas is beyond any comprehension and totally inexcusable in my book. }| yeah ... I think it is because they were so jealous of Japanese anime but they couldn't come up with their own Ideas so they took the easy way and rob the designs and in some cases even stories !! what is funny that most of them are just plain horrible their one horned grendizer (they call it mazinger x ) was horrible beyond words !

Your next best bet would to get custom figures made based on SRC/SOC figures. I'm sure there are a ton of great customizers out there.

Gotta admit, that Korean toy company sure made some Badass sculpts of that Mekanda! ---------------- Ooooooooh, this one here has a nice pair of Knockoffs! ......yeah, she got that twerkin Miley Cyrus gap down pat, too. Here's that Goldwing for Baron...... ------------------------------- " Say my name, b*tch!" Yes, that on the floor there is the Yujin Master Action Perfect Version Mazinkaiser gettin his Swerve On with the sexy Fewture Aphrodai. " Hey, Kaiser... How's Triiixxx!" --------------------------------------------- They have tons of really nice renditions. But this is all I'll post for now. Because the longer I browse through that Korean website, the more I'll get suckered in to liking their robot figure renditions. Don't get me wrong.... I don't hate them nor dislike them. There are quite a few significant standouts in that collection that got my attention, and I especially like those two heavily-spiked enemy robots.... those would be great to have posing with my SOC Mazingers! ---------------------------------------------- Damn, WTF------- ? SACRILEGE! zozo-mag

I dunno, an Aphrodai A without the launching hooters doesn't feel right to me. Also the sculpt is too hentaish for my taste.....not that I don't like hentai.....nevermind...

Going back to topic, this is the joints system of the figure : Here are the diecast parts : I am looking this figure, also thinking about SOCs, SRCs... Toy industry change a lot and increases in level with complex engineering, mold process, etc... Design is now very respected : look at the joints, elbows system, knees, hips... Now we can have very shaped super robots with invisible engineering or great transforming toys (respectful of alt AND robot mode). We have great robots with waist joints, sometimes spine articulations, etc, SRC line offers strong poseabilities. With Tetsujin 28, SOCs started to propose the lower hips articulation to help him to bend and sit. 2nd Tetsujin (1980) has a calf part able to move inside a bit and gives more motion angle for knees. But one thing is missing to give the best "human" motion : clavicle. They start a bit to consider this : sometimes shoulders joints can pop out a bit to try to make a hand clap, but this is very limited. I know that Super Robots like Go Nagai's creation are designed like bulky rounded machine (and anime is magic : you can bend shapes and metal). One day, a robot will align his elbow with plexus !

It seems that them folks won't allow their images to be hot-linked, because all the ones which I hot-linked from their website are now gone from this page. Well, if they don't like anyone hot-linking their images, they can go... themselves. Seriously. We can't hot-link their images, but They can rip off every Japanese super-robot and tokusatsu character ever made! I would admire their animations and comic books much more if they would use characters of Their OWN ORIGINAL creation instead of knocking off many of Japan's robots and anime characters. I've seen pretty much all those Korean knockoff anime robots on bad quality DVDs at local Dollar stores. If they don't want the rest of the hobby world to admire their stuff that bad then they should just get offline and unplug their internet. Just my personal opinion. zozo-mag

magengarMaybe they're trying to avoid another legal case like what happened with the Gundam fiasco a long time ago. I mean it's completely illegal to rip-off any legitimate robot and market it as someone elses creation. It's ironic that nationalist Koreans love Taekwon V so much and hate the Japanese when Taekwon V is just a rip-off of Mazinger Z.

Although it seems like Korea really pushes it to the edge with those knockoffs looking almost in exact likeness to their original sources. I feel bad for them, because that one Mekanda-like specimen looks really awesome, and so does that Goldwing robot. I had no idea the Gundam franchise had a problem such a problem ever. And I see all sorts of bootlegged Gundam-like toys all the time in my local dollar stores as well. Such as this one...................... ( photo courtesy of CollectionDX) ...I saw just one box of this toy in a window at a local Arab-owned discount store in my neighborhood. It's still there! Every time I see it in the storefront window I get tempted to grab it for the fun of it! lol zozo-mag

Apparently according to the Korean court the term "Gundam" applies to being a noun that refers to humanoid robots. It actually makes me wonder why they need to copy someone elses work when can make their own animation.
