Hey, does anyone know if there's any diecast in the spazers? I heard there was some in the double spazer, although I don't know how much.

I am new to the Chogokin line. Just wondering, does the GX-04 has something like 70-80% diecast?

Yeah there is.. I'd guess at around 10 percent (holding them now) The the pontoons on both Spazers is the only Dicast on em.
The UFO is almost all plastic...yet still totally cool.
The White Spazer is by far the coolest one in the set IMHO. very metalic and some satisfying clicks...every time i pick it up i cant help but zoom around the office for about 5 seconds (about the time i realize what a nob I look like) ;D

Thanks yoMammabot.
By the white spazer you mean the double spazer? The one that comes with gx-04 besides the ufo spazer? That one looks really cool in some pics I've seen. with the wings up and front part lifted up, it looks kinda like a pterodactyl.
I wonder if any of these spazers will be able to beat Mazinger Z's Jet Scrander for me. That folding wing is still my favorite SOC gimmick (I just wish it could somehow have looked as good with the wing straight as folded forward and back).
I skipped Grendizer the first time around because it felt like a relative rip-off, but now that the other things I bought instead back then are already in my possession, I want the Grendizer badly, good value for the money or not (I mean, for the price of the Uchuu no Ouja set you could get the Getter Set and a gx-02r, or gx-01r and gx-02r + borot. The former is what I actually did back then).

***Heads up for another potential Grendy dealer!***
DIGITAL TOYS, aka Banthatrader on eBay, sells SOCs so I emailed him inquiring about a preorder for GX-04S.
This was his reply to me today:
Hello,
I can get those no worries, let me confirm with Japan and I'll let you know pricing.
There are a number of other sellers I asked as well, but I'm still waiting for their reply. In the mean time, I'm just going to keep asking every seller I come across! ;D

REX, please please keep us up to the minute on your findings with GX-04S. I have got some money set aside for him, I am just waiting for the 'right' dealer, there are those that I prefer to buy from. I will do the same with my findings.
Thanks bud

I wonder if Diamond will eventually be picking up the rerelease. I know they're listing Gaiking to be sold through them! Getting Gaiking through a friend who sells comics/artbooks. I should find out if hes got any news on a grendizer.

I will do the same with my findings. Thanks bud Of course! Here are a few replies I received today. DIGITAL TOYS replied: Hello,
I've confirmed with Japan that I can get some stock. They will be around $200, watch for them on the website. Final price will depend upon the yen level and UPS fuel surcharges at release.
THANKS! Mike @ digital toys www.digital-toys.com
Image Anime replied: Once we have information about this release from our distributor, we will post pre-order on our website.
Thank you.
Image Anime
and BBTS replied: we will try to get them, but not sure yet if/when we'll be able to
Thanks! Joel www.bigbadtoystore.com
Just a suggestion, if there are other sellers anybody knows about, please be sure to ask, ask, ask! Also, it might help raise awareness and demand if we ask some of the same sellers, to assure them that there are plenty of collectors that want the GX-04S set and that stocking them will be worth their time, money, and effort.

Sorry about this short and quick reply, I am still working on the ordering, no confirmation now, will keep you posted.

hmmm. sorry if this sounds like a stupid question...so if there is a suggestion that even the distributors dont really know how many re-issue GX-04s they are getting, how will the buyers know their pre-orders will stick?
Bit worrysome for the people that have to pre-pay with their pre-orders...Thats a large chunk of $$ taken out in a sudden hit when no promises can be made!
or is this normal for pre-orders...??

Not a stupid question akyapp. I would hope that the seller who charges upon placement of preorder would be just enough to issue a refund, should the order become unfulfillable. In a case like this with the amount of money at stake, I'd only deal with someone I trust 110%. I've dealt with ToysOnline before and all has gone well. I don't think you'll have any problems with them. My pleasure, Maz. If this sucker's gonna sell out, I'd rather it sell out to all of us! I've wondered the same thing about a GX-04S reissue being a chogo-ton of chogo-hype, but so far it looks good. Mike at Digital Toys told me he confirmed that he'll be able to get some, so only time will tell.

I've heard a lot of good things about Toy-Wave.
In fact, I just ordered a set of Chogokin Expo pens (expensive as hell, but now nearly impossible to find) from them two days ago, and Ken (the owner?) said I should expect them to arrive in 7 - 10 days. I'll let you know how that turns out.

I wouldn't hestitate to order from Ken at Toy-Wave - he's good for quick shipping. I dislike his Paypal percentage policy (he takes a cut to cover his expenses). But his shipping is fairly priced and his packing method is hilarious (yet strangely effective). ;D

The reason I ask is that one time I bought a SOC from the Philippines, and they just wrapped cardboard around the bandai factory SOC packaging. US customes ripped into the package and tor everything up. The box was totally hammered! Thank god the SOC was ok, but the box was completely ruined, heck even the soc manual was inbetween the SOC box, and the outer cardboard. Needless to say, but I prefer to buy from someone in the states because of that experience.

Needless to say, but I prefer to buy from someone in the states because of that experience. When Ken says "bubble-wrap" on his web-site he means really means bubble-wrap. If you want a box it'll cost a bit more. Ken will wrap your SoC in like 50 layers of bubble-wrap all taped up with something like 10 rolls of tape and then put that green HK shipping paper on top of it. No way a customs agent will get into that (if they do, I'd like to see them wrap it back up). Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it much.

Yup, Ken has a bubble wrap fetish, he packs so much bubble wrap around the product that I think if the plane goes down carrying it, it'll float to it's destination anyway ;D.
