Hmm.. the screw cover on the inner lower part of the thigh is also bothering me... it's very visible when pose the figure.
MAX FACTORY ARE YOU MOCKING US!!!!

Thanks for the pics bizzio. The finished product looks *great*. You can complain about the chrome thighs and the visible screw covers, but I think the overall product is miles ahead of the Aoshima in terms of proportions, overall looks, and accessories that these minor quirks don't bother me. Besides, I appreciate the effort of them covering screws rather than Aoshima leaving two blatant screw holes on the front of their Shin Getter's shoulders.
As for the elbow joints, I think the guy in the pics didn't push in the fists all the way. They don't stick out nearly that much in the other pictures bizzio posted a week or so back, so I'll hold out judgment on this one.
I'm not quite sure how to address changetter's beef with Max Factory and how the Mazinkaiser's joints apparently resemble their Guyver figure's joints. Why does this rile you up so much that you'd claim MF is 'mocking' you?

I think he's upset because they re-used the joints. I think it's common practice. Especially when it comes to Japanese things.
In any case, I am not sure about the design issue with Aoshima and MF. I mean isn't the Max Factory the Video Game version and the Aoshima is the anime version, no? If that's the case, woudln't it make more sense to compare something that is in the same category? Like a mazinkaiser video game version compared to the same version by another company?

well, beside the push in-out elbows, I just wish they/Max would have done something different rather than seeing the similar idea from Aoshima with the push elbows. Why make something that has been done before?
Carlo, you know me well hehe

well, beside the push in-out elbows, I just wish they/Max would have done something different rather than just kind of taking the idea from Aoshima with the push elbows. Why make something that has been done before? Carlo, you know me well hehe I'm not sure if Aoshima invented this mechanism; if they did, hats off to them. Still, I don't see a problem with Max Factory adopting the function on the Mazinkaiser. It's like if Max Factory pioneered the use of ball joints in action figures, there would be no point in other companies making figures with ball joints. I much prefer it to Bandai's method of cutting out portions of the arms to allow for movement. Also, can you explain why you think the the Mazinkaiser's gold joints are the same as their Guyver's? I don't see the connection there. About comparing the Max Factory Mazinkaiser to the Aoshima, you have a point dme3o. They are technically different designs in that the Aoshima is the OVA design and MF's is the video game design, but in the end they're both Mazinkaiser, and the designs are similar enough that comparisons are inevitable.

Well I think they had no choice in his elbow design due too Mazinkaiser's forearm design. If they hadn't of done it he wouldn't be able to bend his elbow 90 degree's when extended or have extra long elbow joints if it didn't contract.

Vendetta. I agree. Though they are different, it will still be compared as they are close enough. In either case, I would still like to see pics! HEY KEVIN/CHANGEGETTER123!! POST SOME PICS WILL YA!!

Yeah, they're in plain sight in the photos taken from Max Factory's website. I was commenting on the pics bizzio posted today with the Mazinkaiser standing next to the GGGG.

The sculpt is way better than the Aoshima version. The seem lines on the legs are very visible from the pics(same problem with SOC Getter Liger, only Liger's seem lines go down his front hip, which is worse). I WANT TO GET THIS BADLY!!!,but I can't seem to find it at my local Hobby Stores .

Hi Sorry to ask don't know if this is a stupid question or not. Is it worth it to buy another Mazinkaiser for keeping? What are the chances of the price for this going up? Sorry agin as me only started collecting late May this year :-) Will be getting it for around $110-115. Thanks in advance and hope to be able to post my small collection soon. By the way how to attach the pix on the gallery as i looked before and there was no attach photo or anything there. thanks again.
