Well, I must say that is my "flavor of the month". This thing arrived last friday and i waited two days to take him out of it's box. I had to clear up space in my display cabinet and re arrange some stuffs. I got it from BBTS and they were nice enough to put a sticker "FRAGILE: HANDLE WITH CARE" on the box as requested. It was wrapped nicely and the box didn't have any dents ($2) bucks more for collector's grade. As I opened it first thing I noticed --no gloves? Although it wasn't a big deal, it was MF's trademark. I was aware of all the problems that other members had and I immediately looked at the dannar and look for them...didn't find any flaws...well, except for one, on the back right side lung it had a little itty bitty paint dimple...but overall Excellent condition. I was just going to attach the flame and a set of hands and display right then and there thinking that if I try to pose it, it just might cause problems I'll regret. But I can't resist, so I went to the most extreme pose which was the "kick" of all kicks. This is the only bot that I know of that can do this. I was very delicate with every movement I made, trying to picture the reaction it will make if I move a certain part. I even left his diaper (plastic covering) on 'til I had the high kick set. Just paranoid I guess. I had to lay the knife down because it was damn too long to stand up. Also, the manual was very nice and "glossy", too bad it was only 2 sheets. I'm very happy with my purchase and like I said, it's my "flavor" of the month...until VOLTES V comes home. Thanks! no gloves? hiiigghh yaaa! me workout everyday! I'm home!

I would bet the reason Godanner doesn't have gloves is because originally it was going to be an action figure and not part of the Max Gokin collection. The packaging on Godanner was also different than the other Max Gokin figures. It's a great figure though, I love it!

It might lack gloves because it doesn't have any chrome for you to worry about getting finger prints on.

Yup I live close by to your cousin then. Amar & Azusa that's almost like Little Manila. We do our grocery shopping there at the ever famous Seafood City. A lot of Pinoy businesses there too. Thanks for the tip.

Mine just arrived today. Just took two quick pics of Godannar. This gokin rocks! The toy is a little bit heavy, great articulations but I don't like the paint job. I was looking at the hole where you put the hands, while I was inserting the peg, then toot! the paint bits fall off. But it doesn't matter. Also some chip paints were already there even before taking it out the plastic. Sad. The joints are so tight, that you cannot move the parts. I was afraid to move it so much, and very careful. But I like it not being loose, just giving extra care when posing. I like it, that's the bottom line! ;D I ope they will make Menage Zero, I like it more than Godannar though. vic01

I just received mine today and all I can say is wow. Great articulation and attention to detail plus that sword could take out a bear.
But this figure is not without it's flaws, like all Max Factory figures I own it is less than perfect. On my Genesic Gaogaigar it was the incredibly tight hip joints that lead to one leg snapping off, on my Mazinkaiser it was his refusal to retract his arms which lead to both of his upper arms splitting open (I fixed both figures with the worlds strongest Super Glue, but I still won't move my GGGG's leg more than a few degree's) and on Godannar it's his paint chips and just lack of diecast. I can understand the lack of metal for added articulation, but at this price range I expect near perfection.
Now I know that Max Factory is nowhere near as large or established a company as Bandai so quality is a little less and the added creativity they put into their figures more than makes up for some QC issues. But if I were to rate the top diecast figures makers out of ten, Bandai would be a solid 9.5 while Max Factory would be a 8-8.5.

The flame depends on which "female" robot Danner merges with. Yes, there are TWO female robots: Neo-Okusaer & Go-Okusaer. Neo-Okusaer was the original one, which created the Red Flame in Godannar's head. Go-Okusaer is the updated version that produces Godannar's Blue Flame.
