Bandai confirmed on tamashii.jp that the GX-70SP will be on TWS after the event is over (September 24th). Thus, I also believe it will be far easier to get them in the future. tamashii.jp/event/322/※超合金魂 GX-70SP マジンガーZ D.C. アニメカラーバージョンは本展開催後、プレミアムバンダイ内『魂ウェブ商店』等にて販売を予定しております。

The 5PRO is actually in scale: Astroganger declared height is 40m. So it should be closer to the combining robots (Daimos 45m, Daltanious 56m, Golion 60m) than to Nagai robots (Mazinger Z 18, Great Mazinger 25m).

Indeed wow! For an Italian like myself it's really difficult to understand something like that.
10 years ago I had an accident while skiing: helicopter ambulance ride to the nearest hospital, then they operated on my knee, surgical cast, they gave me some medicines and crutches. Total cost... ZERO.

My retailer just canceled my preorder for this item, saying it will no longer be released. Can some of you confirm that's the case?

No need to fight actually... If you want more information on early Mazinger Z drawings, I really recommend this book: www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4063300765/The book includes all art from the first Mazinger Z manga releases, including all the original covers. From there, you can clearly see the different steps in the evolution of Mazinger Z: - Energer Z (with the motobike on top)
- Mazinger Z on early Shonen Jump issues: essentially identical to GX-07, U on the bottom of the chest, white Pilder, red around the eyes
- Mazinger Z on later Shonen Jump issues: still similar to GX-07, but with a red Pilder
- Mazinger Z on TV Magazine (1973-1974): identical to the anime version, sometimes with red around the eyes in 1973
I'm attaching two other covers from Shonen Jump (earlier issue first); you can see the Pilder changing to red later in 1973:

Second this is the first Manga for Mazinger z, dose this design look like the GX-07 for you ? hmmmmm Wrong! This is the TV Magazine (Kodansha) cover for the manga released after 1973, with Mazinger changed to look like the anime. Mazinger Z first appeared on Shonen Jump on Oct 02 1972 (see following cover):

Combattler was already re-released with a new sculpt in 2009 as GX-50, I seriously doubt it will be anytime soon.

I would have no problem with the SoC line closing down in 2 or 3 years... I have no place left to store them anyway.
Only problem is I'd like to have a complete lineup of all classic robots before closing my collection, at least from the first 10 years of robot anime (1972-1981).
Some of them are still totally missing in diecast form (Astroganger, Dai Apolon, 3 robots from Blocker Gundan IV Machine Blaster, Mechander Robo), and for some I'd really like a better model (for example, Daikengo from Evolution Toy is really sub-par).

That's caused by import costs from Italy to US: prices in Italy were identical for the normal and black Big Shooter versions.

No it says tax code and it wont let you proceed til u add one in.I found out on one site if you enter USA it doesnt need tax code, but 2 others you cant get by it. Just in case someone else needs this, in Italy we have two tax codes: For persons residing in Italy: "Codice Fiscale", it's an alphanumeric code composed by 16 characters, see here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_fiscal_code_cardFor companies: "Partita IVA", it's a numeric code composed by 11 digits, see here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VAT_identification_numberWe also have a "Codice Fiscale" for companies (11 digits), but that's usually identical to the "Partita IVA" code.

I would really doubt they will do a SOC Aquarion, since we already have a modern chogokin version of Aquarion (GD-99, September 2005).
GD-99 is perfect for looks and transformation, its only problem is you need to use the display stand (but that's probably unavoidable, all 3 configurations have a "backpack").
