mabbe you shld start selling the idea of toy collection to ur GF first...else its too late when she becomes wife ;D I fully support you! I have ZERO space now and my wife is starting to complain... A month ago I bought the Ginguiser (boy, that's a HUGE cube...) and I've quickly hidden without even looking at it carefully ;D Besides wings, flaws, price... that's probably one of the biggest reasons why I'm not buying the Shin Getter (yet) ;D I even considered renting a cellar, but it's around €300 a month here... definitely too much

I also have the diecast Toynami, and I don't like it too much: big and heavy but it seems somewhat in between a vintage and a modern toy. Besides I hate the chrome paint on plastic: it looks cheap and it's also prone to scratching. Two photos I made on my Voltron: www.chogokinmania.com/2010/10/10/voltron-toynami-mastepiece/If you can find it for cheap it could still be a nice item to have, but certainly not at current prices on eBay...

I think everyone in this boards is starting to show symptoms of shin getter Psychosis Agreed... . I'm deeply sorry this is happening in a "polite" setting like RJ; as you may have understood, the situation in Italy is unfortunately really hot due to the canceled preorder issue, but I really think this should not propagate here. Personally, I think the situation has been sufficiently clarified, and I'll avoid posting any more on this thread about QC issues, in an attempt at least to have the situation cool down a bit... I hope the other involved parties can do the same.

A very nice video... of course the fact I'm Italian makes the review more enjoyable.
Welcome on RJ!

My 5 years old son loves the classic Jeeg from Takara, it's probably his favority toy. I also gave him as a present a GX-03 and he really likes to combine it too. From the list only I'd say Baikanfu: when I was a kid I had and loved Gordian from Popy, Baikanfu is more or less the same

I really like the fact that Jeeg is separated into individual parts in the box I really hope the magnetic joints are closer to Gakeen and not to Barattack; as most Italians, I LOVE Kotetsu Jeeg, and I absolutely want this item to be perfect...

Besides, I cannot see the point. Mecha-mecha has a shop and received perfect items, two Japanese shop had issues with broken wings; several report of breakage appeared on asian forums and 2ch, several other collectors received good items. I have no reason at all to doubt any one of them: a matter of different production batches and different luck between the shops/collectors. Trying to extrapolate global statistics on the complete production run would be premature (to say the least) at this stage. Of course everyone here would be happy if the impact of this issue is limited; the important thing is that Fewture is ready to ship replacements for all impacted figures! The fact that worries me most now is the review talking about fragile joints... I would have hoped to see some progress from the first Getters (the Mazinger 1969 were definitely much more solid for example). Anway, there's nothing to be done: Fewture EX Gokins always had their share of issues: we either love them for their fantastic appearance, or hate them for their fragility/QC. Most of us probably are half way between love and hate (myself included)

For what it's worth, 009 is working in Osaka at Jungle Shop, mostly on international sales; I really see no reason why we should not believe him. Since he has a shop, he would be mostly interested to sell the item, which interest would he have in bashing the item? jungle-scs.co.jp

It has incredibly weak arms and waist joints. I know I'll eventually end up buying this but... I'm even more confused now... ;D

Hi really look forward to read / see your reviews, before making a final decision on purchasing this.
In the meantime, I can't help but singing this old 80s song over and over ;D

mecha-mecha, are you in Japan or China/Singapore? Could they be different production batches?

Just got another mail from the JP seller: it seems Fewture has promised him fixed wings for all the broken items in 5 days. Still a hassle if you already got the figure at home, so I would still have it checked before shipping, but at least Fewture seems ready to solve the issue! 009, an Italian who is is working at Jungle Shop Osaka, is also reporting that Fewture sent them 4 Shin Getters, 2 of them with broken wings, so it seems the issue really is widespread: www.mechanicalrage.it/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7587&start=936Arrivati 4 Shin Getter stamattina......di cui 2 con le ali rotte che ci hanno comunque gia' risposto che ci verranno sostituiti entro pochi giorni.

Yes, that's true, but even though I really hate these gokins because of all the issues... I've never been able to sell one from my collection ;D That's why I'm trying to resist from buying it... Anyway we'll soon know how widespread these problems are; up to now I only saw photos from 3 collectors (one with a broken wing, one who did not try to extend the wings, one with zero problems) and got that mail from the JP shop with an 80% defect rate... of course this could be only an unlucky production batch he got... or not... In any case not enough items to make a conclusive judgement...

I had worse luck, that's why I'm more skeptical about this wing issue... One of my 2 Black Getters had a broken knee, and both Mazinger had the magnets issue (with one magnet taking away a visible part of the paint when unglueing). That's the reason why I did not preorder the Shin; I wanted to see if there were serious QC issues before buying it... now I'm more puzzled than ever...

I just finished reading the whole review. I would really like a better translation from a Chinese-speaking user, but as far as I can gather: - excellent paint application and "presence" - very good diecast content - perfect wings in this case, but he says he did not try to extend them - a broken blade on the right arm - problems in extracing the Getter core (he did that with a screwdriver) - insufficient stability and balancing without the support stand - installing the support stand badly scratches the back of the figure - I cannot understand the part about joints....

Saying that the distribution of the SHIN Getter has been suspended and postponed in Japan because of the BAD Quality Where exactly I said Fewture stopped distributing them? Fewture shipped them to the shops (and final customers?) on June 6th as far as we know. As already clearly explained, I just reported the content of a mail sent by a JP shop I fully trust; I see no reason why this should result in personal attacks...
