I had problems with loose ankles also on my Voltes. Also the hands get loose very fast. Mine can't hold up his sword anymore. It just flops down. Looking forward to Daimos though. He looks amazing so far and the metal content looks good as well!

It would be nice if the made the GX-03 the version they had at the Tamashii Nations show with the lighter blue color and all the stickers. I would buy another if that were the case.

Amazing, you are a very talented artist! I second the Red and yellow that was suggested earlier for color.

Thank you so much for the GX-12! Box arrived well packaged and shipping was super fast with FedEx. Could not have asked for a smoother transaction from Godaikin!

Still looking if anyone is looking to off a 1/48 Dougram. Also looking for many of the 1/144 small die-cast bots like Ironfoot, Bigfoot, Cabarov, and the Mackerel. Any help appreciated!

I agree, parts former all the way. If it is rock solid and does not feel like I am going to break it whenever I touch it, I am all over it. Plus it is Danguard, I simply must buy it for that reason only.

Let there be no confusion Reideen is my favorite robot as I have a ton of sentimental attachment to this toy. It was my first die-cast robot in the 70s. The fact that you guys that love the SOC version for what it is and are willing to pay $150+ for it kills me. It is not a glass half full situation. I just do not get how you could be happy paying so much for something and realistically getting so little. Sure you get a lot of weapons and a mountain for the 41S but again compare this to GX-04S. I bought mine this year in Taiwan for NT4800 ($157US). Not only do you get a rock solid robot but you get a ton of weapons and four spazers. All of which have a decent amount of die-cast. The paint on my Grendizer is gorgeous. The flat paint on my Reideen's chest and legs leaves a lot to be desired. I am afraid to handle Reideen. He just feels fragile. I guess if you just stuff him on a shelf you could be happy, but I like to handle my toys, after all they are toys.

I need to get down to Socal to visit one of my best friends. Also a perfect reason to check out Frank and Sons! I have yet to go but it looks like a great place to find some treasure.

2? You are a true Daimos fan! I will get Daimos from Beta as well. Reideen did test my patience a bit but Andy is very easy to work with and it feels more like I am buying from a small shop. Plus I have yet to find anyone that beats his prices in the US. On another note anyone here a bit worried about die-cast content in Daimos? After Reideen I am worried. Please no comments on how I am too worried about metal or I am collecting for the wrong reasons. Again this is GX-43 another Soul of Chogokin so it should have gokin in it.

Like I said if I did not like Reideen so much I would be putting it on Ebay, which means it is not going on Ebay. I do not collect toys as investments so if for some reason I did sell it taking a loss is no big deal. The blue paint is so elegant it looks like metal? Completely have to disagree. The blue on the legs looks like cheap plastic, just like it feels. I have never complained about any SOC, not one. Even when people here complain about Leopaldon or Walker Garrier, I love both of these. The paint and detail on both is great. The metal content to be considered "Soul of Iron" is there. Reideen is supposed to be in this same line of toys yet has an infinitesimal amount of die-cast. I do not need to reexamine why I collect toys. I know why I collect toys. I know why I collect the Soul of Chogokin line. I collect this line because they are supposed to be made out of Die-cast, not a bunch of cheap looking plastic. I think either people have forgotten what Chogokin means or do not know entirely what it means. It is not just that I need to have metal in my Reideen it is in the Chogokin line! This toy feels fragile in your hands, it is unlike any other SOC. Bandai Engineering and elegant design representation? I honestly would like to know what is so amazing about the engineering on this toy? The folding wing backpack? Daimos I think you can make the argument about engineering. He looks amazing. Reideen has a removable folding wing backpack. I will not argue about the overall look of the toy. He looks like Reideen. Height and proportions all look great. My gripe again has to do with the complete lack of die-cast. This is again a "Soul of Chogokin", if it were in any other Bandai line I would not make a fuss. It just does not belong in the SOC line with the complete lack of metal. This is my opinion please do not get bent out of sorts because I do not agree with everyone. I just cannot see how you can argue about the lack of die-cast. I am not looking for a brick of metal but anything on par with the rest of the SOC line. One last gripe. Compare the GX-41S set to GX-04S price and quality wise. Almost the same price (when GX-04S came out, not now) and the quality of Grendizer is top notch. Metal content through the roof. Metal not just on Grendizer but on each and every spazer. Sure Grendizer does not have a fold-up wing backpack and a big plastic mountain to stuff him in but he has much more. Again just my opinion and I do respect your as well Sketcher, just my two cents.

Looks OK. Using the zoom on the pictures on Yamatos site though was very unimpressive. Flat orange peel paint and bad application. Even with its issues I still have to buy this. I just still have my fingers crossed that Bandai will give us their rendition on Danguard.

Just received my Reideen today. Man I feel really disappointed. First of all Reideen is one of my favorites when it comes to old school robots. He was my very first robot when I was a kid. I got the Shogun Warriors version and I loved that toy. This Reideen version in my opinion should not be in the SOC line. The absence of die-cast is extremely disappointing. There is hardly any gokin in this chogokin. The blue plastic on the legs looks extremely cheap. The heft of Reideen makes him feel like a cheap kids toy. To me, if it is going to be in the Soul of Chogokin line, there should be a specified amount of metal in the toy. I am sad that I paid $150 for this toy. If I did not like the character so much I would most definitely be putting this on Ebay.

If you are looking in Bay Area to buy in a store all new releases will be very expensive. BEst places to go though are Kimono My House in Emeryville or Cards and Comics Central in the Richmond District in SF. Again new releases will be very expensive but if you are just looking it is nice to see them in person. Also check: robotjapan.proboards12.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=RBay&thread=8111This thread has all the info you need.

It seems BBTS keeps getting more and more expensive. I will wait for Beta to get him.
