GX-105 has some strange proportions compared to GX-70. It looks to me like it has a bigger head, maybe to accommodate a bigger more detailed hover pilder while keeping the same height as other SOC Mazinger Z figures? Breast plates look smaller, torso looks shorter, chest looks higher, low rise undies, and upper arms look thicker too. View AttachmentThen again GX-105 looks similar to the Mazinger Z in the series intro: View AttachmentView AttachmentTo be honest, I'm kinda confused with this move by Bandai. I thought the whole point of D.C. series is "show accuracy". So where does this new iteration fit in... "animation magic accuracy"?

haha, yeah, but at least we're on our way I had my friend 3D print a basic stand for Hasbro Spengler's Neutrona Wand, he had to sand down some of the connections to get a good fit

All this talk about diminishing QC made me recall a comment from Collection DX about the reason why Bandai Godaikin toys were destined for the bargain bin during the late 80's to early 90's in the US: Original post from Collection DXWhat are the odds of this happening again with SOCs... but instead of "crying kids", we have adult collectors crying for justice

Watching those videos made me wonder how much longer we need to wait before we can just 3D print all our robot toy purchases

But at 6 inches, she might have a chance that's what he said I also said this: It's very likely that Action Toys will scale her with Mini Action Maz. If that happens, she'll probably be smaller than 6 inches, too small to be paired with Maz DC. Unless you have definite info that Aphrodai will be 6 inches tall

^hoping that will be the case, because we all know Aphrodai is a bit smaller than Maz. It's very likely that Action Toys will scale her with Mini Action Maz. If that happens, she'll probably be smaller than 6 inches, too small to be paired with Maz DC. But at 6 inches, she might have a chance

one of the best looking Mazinger z, MUST bought for me, especially after i saw the LEDs and daisharin rocket punch effect parts, if this was made by another stupid company it will be $300 figure, but no Action Toys keeps it real to be honest i found it cheesy they put the Jet Scrander and the iron cutter with Aphrodite A, i guess they want to force us to buy her as well will i think my fist Aphrodite will be from Action Toys lol Aphrodai A looks much better than SOC version imho, not too slim Wondering if it's gonna look in scale when paired with GX-70 Maz DC... Action Toys didn't mention the figure height, oof

What does that mean for us? Bandai, at some point, will reissue all 15 or will still pick and choose from the 15? I discussed this with Gold . He believes they all will be reissued... eventually. I strongly believe this too. Unlike before where "mold degradation" was a problem, that's not the case anymore thanks to 3D imaging and modern fabrication technologies. Licensing might be an issue but that's easily resolved. I think Bandai is more concerned with demand which is why they did the survey (learning experience from latest Daltanious and Leopardon re-issues, hehe). Like our bros said, Bandai will reissue all of 'em eventually... just have to be patient

Interesting choices. I picked GX-43 Daimos Let's make it interesting though: REALISTICALLY, which one do you think will get selected?
My three picks are Voltes V, GoLion, Zerokage & Bakuryu Gx-67 harlock Space Arcadia , boss robot , Dancougar ( unless the next hagane works version IS better ..) Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Dancougar didn't make the Top 15 Items list Probably because the GX-13R can still be purchased in some areas, even marked down...

This guy is practically man-handling the figure Maybe because it doesn't cost that much, I bet he's gonna be more careful if that's a $400 Hot Toys Iron Man At least we all know the figure can take a beating

Wow, thanks for posting this GetterBoi Was wondering why SDF Macross and DYRL music are still blocked in Spotify while other Macross IPs are available. Now we all know why. Kinda surprised how Tatsunoko handled this whole fiasco, maybe majority of share holders are gaijin...

How does wutafa do it? He makes it so easy to disassemble. Wotafa sort of "cheats" i think He sprays tight joints/connections with Tokyo Marui Silicon Oil. He has several instructional videos about it in his YT channel, but he only applied it on some TFs and vintage pieces. Just assuming he does the same with his SOCs, another example is Big Moth’s “toes” from his GX-13R Dancougar vid, he pulled those out quite easily without exerting that much effort.

PSA regarding "GBP waist armor - crotch area" courtesy of Macross World: GBP Armor crotch area peg problemSome members at Macross World are confirming that the peg for the crotch area is too big, making it difficult to totally close the gap without stressing the peg. Might even break when trying to remove the waist armor. Peeps are suggesting not to push the peg all the way in.

Not sure if this will count as a necro post cuz the topic is pinned, but what the heck Just a question for you vintage collectors, do you display your vintage gokins (DX/ST) with the spring loaded fists/missiles attached? I don't display my robot toys so no idea or experience about spring tension going bad or plastic shattering because the spring is too strong. But I do have a vintage Bandai Gorilla Game toy that I truly regret keeping in "loaded" position. Actually, the toy will not fit inside the box if it's not in the loaded position so I just assumed it's gonna be fine even after several years. Yeah, stupid move The toy has a very strong spring action to make all the chains pop out. One day, the mechanism inside shattered, obviously because the plastic is not that strong anymore to resist the tension due to age I searched for a similar toy to show you how it works but I only saw a "re-badged" one. Mine has the Japanese stickers on em. To give you an idea of how strong the spring action is on this toy, visit the link below and scroll down a bit to see it in action. Bandai Gorilla Game/Kid Kong Escape GameHope this will serve as a lesson to those who keep the firing fists or missiles attached to their vintage pieces while on display for a long period. Although the results may vary, either the spring will contract and loose its tension, OR the unthinkable, the plastic might shatter
