Good to see that Josh is as pissed at this release as I am. Just discovered something new while reposing my BG Grendizer. The left lower leg can be rotated, but the right lower leg can't! Anyone else have this? I guess it's difficult to notice unless you fiddle around with the legs and different poses.

I am dying to get my hands on this beast. I actually had it on pre-order months ago but had to cancel it due to budget constraints. The problem is at BBTS it's very overpriced at $530. Anyone know of cheaper reliable store to get it from? Not sure about their service but it's cheaper than BBTS.....it's located in H.K though Locus Hong KongThank you. I ordered it last night. At BBTS the G by itself is more expensive than ordering it from Locus + shipping.. Feeling excited!

Those are great pics Ross. Thanks for sharing! I need to shoot my BG Spazer too. Thanks man..I love your pics too. I would like to see a pic of your setting and lighting and what type of camera you use. By the I was born in Kuwait too Wow that's cool! No wonder you love Grendizer too! Hahaha..I get a feeling that being born in the 70s/80s in Kuwait and loving Grendizer are connected My set up is not that fancy. I just use a normal sheet of colored paper for my background. I use a Canon 5D Mark II + Two Speedlite flashes bounced off the ceiling or diffused to make the background darker. I think I tend to get more creative when it comes to Grendizer. However, I still have to fix the broken peg in the Double Harken before I can pose him with it.

It was almost impossible to find when it was released years ago! It is pretty awesome, but I would have to say that, for the price one of these sets would be going for, you are much better off just buying the Bandai SOC GX-04S set instead. Of course, unless you really are all about tiny Grendizer figures... }D That's just it. When it comes to Grendizer, size doesn't matter, big or small...I'm getting it. Heck if I could afford it I would get the giant people size Grendizer. This set is on my list now.

Wow! This set is incredible! I don't have the full Spazer set. Just Grendizer + his Spazer. But after looking at these, I think I remember seeing this set being sold in a local shop. Crap...I have to get it now.

Yeah If I'm not mistaken, I think that the last black repaint in the SOC line was Raideen, . I own the regular color version and I was not impressed at all. As far as my SOC collection goes, Raideen is my least favorite. However the black repaint looks very cool and has extra detail and graphics in gold paint. I think the repaints look very nice especially if you have the chance to own both versions of a mecha you really love. The collector inside me just couldn't pass up the opportunity to add one more Grendizer to my collection.

I think he prefers to be called "African-Alien Grendizer". ;D Boy this does not serve the thread at all. That being said LMAO!!

Well like you said the important thing is that we got it in the end. It's not currently on display now because I don't have the space for it. As a matter of fact I am working on a plan to fix that so I can pose all of my Grendizer + Mecha collection.

great score GTMQ8! the GX-04B comes with quite a hefty price tag on eBay. But I was told that the GX-04B is not tape when it was shipped off the factory, not sure how much truth in it. Nah, they're all taped it's SOP. My GX-01B and 02B were taped and so was every other SOC in my collection. I paid around $400 for it, while the other seller had a mint condition one, tape still on box, for $230. Ouch right?

I am planning another session with the BG Grendizer with weapons and Spazer. But first I need to fix the Double Harken peg that broke off from the first time I tried to use it. :/ ... Thanks again!

Hey guys. I tried looking for any threads/topics regarding this figure but couldn't find any. I must have missed it somewhere. But here it is, wanted to share photos of the awesome SOC Black Grendizer, which I guess now is a very rare collectible. I bought it used off a guy who lied and told me it was new with the box open only to check on the items. I know better now.
There's a small scratch on Double Spazers nose and the feet are a bit loose. Suggesting that it was displayed for quite some time. I do also happen to own the GX-01B Mazinger-Z and GX-02B Great Mazinger ( Those were brand new thankfully ) but I have yet to take any shots of them. I think I need to get right on that as they do look incredibly cool in black. Enough of the ranting, hope you enjoy the photos.

Lejam: I also posted this same video and problem here a few pages ago Nobody mentioned this so far but after reading my henshinjustice post I remembered that the Sickle part of the Double Harken does not stay in place. It is practically the only Grendizer I own that does this. The SRC Grendizer has them pre-attached to the rods and when you combine the rods you will see that it's made so that the entire weapon is perfectly symmetrical. Unlike this miserable failure from CM. I am considering a fix for the Sickle/edged parts so I can actually pose him with it and take photos. Any suggestions?

I love Big-O. Both the robot and the show. I missed out on getting the weapons set and I only took a few shots of him. He is one of my favorite looking mecha designs from the 21st century Anime shows.

I love Joumaru. I actually had only seen 26 of the total 37 episodes as a kid back in the late 80s. Due to the fact that those were the only episodes that were dubbed and released in Arabic. I only got to conclude the series about 20 years later when I got my hands on the fansub. I have taken some photos of my EX Gokin Joumaru modeling version when I first got it. It's really an impressive figure.

Man those are awesome pics. I love my SEC Grendizer. I had not found it to be fragile though. Thank you for your kind words. It isn't fragile for the most part, but during the shoot when I had to move the arms around to get the proper pose with the Double Harken, the forearm fins actually broke off. I know there are fins that are designed to be removed and have a ball-joint to give it arm mobility which is really cool. But there are two fins stuck together as one part that broke off the forearm, but I glued them back into place ( Thank you Tamiya cement ) and it's fine now.

Those SRC Grendizer pics are awesome GTMQ8! And actually your pictures of CM's Gokin Grendizer got me thinking again of getting one despite all the reported QC problems. And I should add that your other pics are pure eyecandy, thanks for sharing! Thanks for your kind compliments I'm glad you like the photos. It is a work of beauty if you overlook those QC issues it has. I also have had a project in mind for shooting all my Grendizer collection but I need serious space for that shot.

awesome pics, i like the 2 last pics, reminds me a lot of the T.O.P. resin models. What kind of Camera you use to take those pics so clear?. Thank you. Glad that you like them. I use a Canon 5D Mark II. I shoot all my collection using it. But I've been behind as I have some 20 or so Grendizers I've yet to take photos of.
