The SOC that took the world by storm and caused endless regret for those who decided not to get one during preorder. I regret not getting two!

This is the most accurate looking Taiyo No Shisha Tetsujin-28. The SOC is now a close second. I had the GX-44S set since the release but sold it last year because I needed funds for some other figures. I’ll get them back into my collection someday. For now this version is a welcome replacement. Cheaper too! I preordered 2 of them

Nice!! What brand is the really large Grendizer from? Is that a vinyl figure? Grendizer by JungleShop. It’s a Japanese vendor/online figure shop and they made Mazinger Great Mazinger and Grendizer in the same size. Sculpted by Hitoshi Hayami and made in Japan. They even produced human sized versions of the figures. It’s one of my favorites. It’s a PVC figure.

I wish this wasn't an exclusive. I love the colors on it.

A full set will be much more convenient. But I am worried about the price. I think it will be around 35000 yen if Bandai does actually make a GX-76S set. For me it's better to jump on these sets now rather than wait. I also have the GX-04 and GX-04X but I wouldn't mind getting the GX-04S as an extra set for my collection. This is of course because Grendizer is my favorite Super Robot. 35000 yen is too optimistic. Because it will be P-Bandai and buying GX-76 + 76X + 76X2 is already more than 40000 yen. Being optimistic is the whole point. Lol. I know it will be more expensive but I am trying to be more positive about it. Bandai will take our money either way.

My apologies for any miscommunication and annoyance caused. I feel I need to explain my train of thought. - I responded to Coldbreakar's post that showed a full set with all the spazers with excitement. It reminded me of the full set that was my first chogokin. - I stated my disappointment and suprise that P.Bandai Singapore was only selling the Drill & Marine spazers. - I miss-read the post from GTMQ8 about a full set not making sense. It made sense to me as a full set is what I expected from Coldbreakar's post and my previous experience. I shared the P.Bandai partial set as an example of what surprised and disappointed me mistakenly feeling that GTMQ8 did not believe they would sell the partial set as I did. - I explained how a complete set made sense to me from the past releases. - GTMQ8 clarified for me that he meant incomplete not complete, and highlighted my mis-understanding. I'll hold out for a complete set. I can't wait to see more pics and eventual reviews as I think the proportions and articulation in the new set are fantastic. A full set will be much more convenient. But I am worried about the price. I think it will be around 35000 yen if Bandai does actually make a GX-76S set. For me it's better to jump on these sets now rather than wait. www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/74236Product Features 9.84 inches (25cm) Drill Spazer 4.25 inches (10.80cm) Marine Spazer Made of ABS and PVC Japanese import exclusive Can be combined with GX-76 Grendizer GX-76 Grendizer and other Spazers are not included
This was taken from the product page for the pre-order on BBTS. Not that I needed proof because anyone who has been an SOC collector for as long as I have would know they (Bandai) would not do something as stupid as put another Grendizer in an extra incomplete set. When I bought my GX-04S many years ago it was a complete set. GX-04 was already on the market and GX-04X was sold as a separate set with just the Drill and Marine vehicles. So much for what Bandai would or would not obviously do. I’m disappointed that the new Premium Bandai release is not so far a complete set with the GX-76 included. I’m not stupid and don’t understand why that kind of talk is good for a community forum. Here’s to waiting for a complete boxed set at double the price. ^^b I said incomplete set. I never said a complete set. GX-04S was a complete set. Maybe I should have been more clear about it. Grendizer + Marine Spazer + Drill Spazer = Incomplete set. Also the price is the same as Grendizer by himself. So you think that you will get the Marine and Drill Spazer for free? @supergetterv gets what I am talking about. This is what everyone will get with the GX-76 sets: GX-76 = Grendizer figure GX-76X = Spazer + Double Spazer GX-76X2 = Marine Spazer and Drill Spazer. (Exclusive/P-Bandai) I don't mean to come off condescending but I don't know why we are still arguing about this. If you still think you are getting a Grendizer with the Marine and Drill Spazer then fine. Wait until it comes out for a nice surprise.

That would not make any sense. It's the base figure + 76X + 76X2 to complete the set. Grendizer will not be included in any of the extra sets. Not only would it be redundant and anger many customers, but the price for the GX-76X set would have been at least double what it is. It may not make sense but that’s how P.Bandai are offering it in Singapore. www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/74236Product Features 9.84 inches (25cm) Drill Spazer 4.25 inches (10.80cm) Marine Spazer Made of ABS and PVC Japanese import exclusive Can be combined with GX-76 Grendizer GX-76 Grendizer and other Spazers are not included

That is always a possibility but the future is not set in stone. I imagine a complete version like the King of Space set (GX-04S) is much more likely than an anime recolor. But both are of course welcome, as Grendizer collectors will surely go after both. However, I do believe that if Bandai does indeed plan on releasing a complete set, it won't be for at least another two years.

Nice photo! The proportion are really better than the original when you compare the two. Mine is the the mail somewhere... It takes a lot of time to get here... Thank you. Hopefully yours will arrive soon. The proportions on the GX-76 is just beautiful and very accurate to the original design made for the anime. I think it could look better if the horns and eyes were painted yellow like the GX-04. At least closer to how the robot looked in the anime.

Nice photos gtmcomics. But inquiring minds like to know which one is heavier and more diecast? 😀 GX-04 or GX-76? Honestly they are about the same weight. I don't have an electronic scale for my figures but from my impression handling both figures they both have good die-cast content.

I didn't realize that the GX76-X2 only includes the Marine and Drill Spazers. The GX76 needs to be bought separately. That would not make any sense. It's the base figure + 76X + 76X2 to complete the set. Grendizer will not be included in any of the extra sets. thanks for sharing finally someone figured out whats the other fist for lol I didn't figure them out right away until I started trying them out. The way the harken rod is made is weird for some reason. It should be all smooth in the middle with the ridges on the ends but for some reason they made it different. So the other set of hands that have a half closed fist is the one you need when the double harken is in combined form.

so what is the use of the belly button articulation It's limited but helped in getting certain poses. I didn't want to work it too hard...I don't know if it will help with the posing when Grendizer is inside Spazer. That is yet to be seen.

This figure is a work of art. Possibly my favorite D.C figure yet. There are various improvements over Mazinger and G Mazinger. But I believe that it won't be a complete review until he is joined by the spazer sets (Sold Separately). I love the accuracy and fidelity to the original design. The articulation is actually better than the previous D.C releases and of course 10 times better than the original GX-04. If his face looks weird for some reason it's because the cockpit is clear plastic and not painted. Otherwise it would look more like a traditional Grendizer face. I like the hands and accessories that come with it but I wish the manual was a little more detailed about the extra sets of hands available for use with the Double Harken. I had to figure it out myself as 1 set is for when the Harkens are separate and the other set is for when it's in combined form. Beautiful paint. Some tiny blemishes here and there but that's not uncommon. Another minor issue is the elbow joint that connects the forearm to the upper arm...it seems that all D.C releases have that issue as the joint is plastic and easily comes off during certain poses and shift of the weight. Again the articulation on this guy is just incredible. So many different poses to choose from and that's only using the figure itself without the need for an action or tamashii stand. You can actually pose him running on one leg. YES running! as you can see in the photos I have posted. Any questions I'll be happy to answer them. Last thing is of course, how does it actually compare to the original GX-04 Grendizer, released back in 1999. I took comparison photos with my own original GX-04 that I have owned since it's original release. It was the first ever Grendizer figure that I owned and I couldn't have been happier with it at the time. But I also distinctly remember, from the moment that I opened the box, how much I disliked it's lack of articulation. Especially the legs. I also disliked the soft plastic used for the forearms which would bend when you had to move the arm in different poses. I also disliked how you had to shorten the legs in order for him to get inside Spazer. Something which the new GX-76 won't have a problem with. The differences are clear to those who own both. But a quick comparison. Sculpt: GX-76 is more anime and original design accurate than the GX-04. You can see screws behind GX-04 while there aren't any visible in the new release. Paint: GX-76 has better paint application and colors are all anime accurate except for the gold and silver. I disliked the chrome in the old release as it changed color with time and other signs of aging. Accessories: The original GX-04 actually came with the Spazer and Double Spazer. So as value for money the GX-04 is better in that regard. Weapons and additional hands are fairly the same with the exception that the D.C Grendizer comes with the Screw Punch and Crusher Punch. Articulation: Again...GX-76 wins hands down. GX-04 cannot perform half the poses that the new Grendizer can do. Overall verdict. GX-76 Grendizer D.C: 9/10 GX-04 Grendizer: 7.5/10 pic upload

I am curious about why HLJ doesn't have this figure on preorder. They had the Mazinger Z that much I remember. This is going to be released in the middle of summer and I will be traveling during that time. So having the Private Warehouse option would be super helpful for me. This is why we can't have nice things!
