I have, and always will be, against KO and bootleg toys/figures. Never liked them. Of course like most collectors I have run into a few of them, either by purchasing them by mistake or seeing them in person. It's also the reason I avoid 3rd party Transformers figures...it's just..wrong.
Now Voltron/Golion is being targeted for that purpose? I hope Bandai shuts this operation down too. I love the SOC line too much to see it desecrated by these people who don't have any respect for copyright laws and intellectual properties.

I believe with all my heart that the sound feature is just excellent. Where else can you find a high quality chogokin figure that can play music and sound effects from the anime?
The answer is...zero before the DX Combattler-V. It's a beautiful and well made piece no matter how you look at it. I never expected the articulation to be amazing or the figure to be flexible as it is just way too heavy and large for that. It combines exactly like the anime, the cockpits are all clear plastic and is %100 accurate to the anime design. It is even far easier to pose and move than the previous 2 DX Mazingers.
I am well aware there would be nitpicking involved no matter how awesome the piece is, but I am here to let everyone know, especially fans of the anime and robot, that this is simply not a release to pass up.

To clarify. The knees are only weak if you lift him up while his back is towards the ground. The weight of the legs will instantly make them bend. When he's standing on his own there's no problem. But make sure he's stable when you are doing any pose that requires bending the knee (GoT reference here). It's less evident but he fell over while I was taking pictures when I tried to move him with his knee bent. I should have used both hands.

I love this beast. Almost everything about it is amazing. Dislikes: Weak knee joints can't support weight of lower legs + Some minor paint mistakes. All photos by me. Any questions, check my Instagram account @gtmcomics

I'm having a problem with mine. When I first pulled out the left hand to complete the combination process. The hand peg that slides all the way out...is stuck. I had no problem with the right hand it came right out. But the left piece is stuck. The hand itself is out but I tried pulling it out with no succcess. It was really jammed in there. Luckily I had a thin brass rod from my modeling days and I used it to make a hook and veg the damn peg out. Overall I'm liking this figure and this is the only issue I've had with it.

I knew this design was worthy the moment I saw it. The announcement just made it official. I can’t wait to get my hands on this guy. A complete photo shoot and review will be made.

A new Grendizer is never bad. I agree that the D.C series look much better in hand than they do in the photos. I like how Grendizer looks even though he's a little skinny looking. Spazer is definitely on my list when it's officially released.

What I liked about the old Black repaints in the SOC line, is that they came with miniature diecast figures of the pilots. Duke Fleed came with Grendizer, Kabuto Koji came with Mazinger Z, Tsurugi Tetsuya came with Great Mazinger and Aoi Hyoma with Combattler-V. It would be nice if this version came with something similar. Maybe a Koji figure with the helmet off. It's an easy pass for me as I already believe I have enough Mazinger-Z figures in my collection.

This is amazing. I just preordered one and it will be my 3rd Getter figure from Sentinel.
I am hoping that with the recent release of SOC Mazinkaiser, that Bandai will come to their senses and finally release an SOC (anime accurate) Shin Getter Robo. For now this looks like the next best thing and far better looking than the SRC Shin Getter. I just wish he wasn't so expensive.

That thing is enormous. Going to cost a lot to ship...and also require a lot of space.

Let's right this ship with some pictures! Nice poses bro. I think I need a reshoot for Mazinkaiser using a better background. I have white fabric but it looks out grey because I only have two flashes when shooting figures.

Every member here is a contributor.. to each on his own. hehe..if anyone who needs to complain of not getting enough attention or even likes here,, is Gold. Man... imagine the effort he puts on his reviews.,, not just photos. Indeed! I've got nothing on him when it comes to his superbly detailed reviews. I just take a few glamour shots and talk briefly about what I liked and didn't like. As far as forum reviews go, Gold makes the best ones.

Thanks for the compliment, Mishari. That means a lot coming from you. But clearly you are doing something right - you've got 4,600+ followers on Instagram; I've got around 170. Your style is awesome a and professional. Keep it up. Yeah your IG is fairly new, I've started mine back in 2014 so that's normal. If you get Mazinkaiser I bet you'll take some crazy pics of him.

Can we please keep this as the SOUL OF CHOGOKIN - GX-75 MAZINKAISER as it should be... Sidenote, is this thing readily available? Thinking of picking it up later down the line someday. The sooner the better. Any popular SOC release will just increase in price over time. I am not even a big fan of this robot but it really turned out to be an impressive release. Bandai simply did a great job with him. Except for that broken chest plate problem that a few people are having. That's a shame.

Gtmq8, I completely understand your frustration. You put effort into your photos but not get the attention you expected. I apologize for posting photos from Chinese forum which somehow changed the direction of this thread. You are correct in pointing out a problem with this figure. Since it's still a general thread about Mazinkaiser. I would have done the same if mine had arrived with a broken part. No apologies needed.

Robofestivus. Clearly you're not mature enough to have an adult discussion with. He has a very clear point, though; you were literally asking for attention. I was. I am not denying that. But lessons have been learned today. Thanks again.
