With regards to damaged packages, the only way round it is to claim insurance, ie assuming it is insured. Otherwise i am afraid its hard luck. It's hard to expect the retailer to compensate, only way to penalize them is to scrutinize their packaging, whether it has good buffering against possible shipping damages, but even then, they have no control over the rough treatment couriers give to your package. I am pretty sure couriers are able to differentiate between insured and non-insured packages and no prizes for guessing which type of parcels couriers will be more careful with.

Yes, fewture do reissues, but most probably in the form of repaints. i could be wrong, but i never seen fewture do reproductions of the same thing.

i guess the couriers are partly to be blamed for that as well.

to some collectors, yes. so if one is buying for investment, might want to ensure the brown box is untouch so as to attract collectors who are particular about it. at one stage when i was selling my extra fewture gokins, i have buyers requesting close up shots of the brown box. however, my getter g set is strictly for display purposes, and i have even thrown the brown box just to save storage space.

yeah, my dragon was from NY too, and ship directly using the fewture shipper box, pretty bang up when i received it. i'm still waiting for my poseidon, got mine from TnT, and its taking a long time to reach my country.

since we are on the topic of GX-30, anyone came across a SOC rendition of the battle shark? i have seen it in the SOC magazine couple of years ago along with the nanbara base, however, never came across or heard anything about it since.

not sure if amiami is the cheapest out there, but their inability to state the exact shipping price when we are placing a preorder will always be a sticking point. amiami seems to be the cheapest around when they are selling items limited in quantity such as the macross chogokin dx line, but such items will nearly always be sold out minutes after they are open for preorders.

Sorry to hear about your issues with NY. I will definitely NOT ever buy from them. My first order from them was Danguard wbich I never got. They djdint email me to say to pay for preorder. They just left order open til I realized everyone was getting theirs so I paid and received processing email. Over a week later, I still hadnt received order status so I emailed back. They responded by saying ghey are cancelling order even though they had them in stock. I said it was my first time ordering and whatnot. They didnt care. Then they decide they dont need to refund my money. They cancelled and kept payment until I evebtually filed complaj t with paypal. i had already ordered my 3 getters so I kept the orders. That went soso because they wouldnt respond to emails, they wojld only contact me to tell me I owed more for shippjng. Not happy with overall experience. Never again. I stick to the big 3. Bbts, HLJ and amiami exact same problem happened to me when i preordered danguard ace from NY. but other than that, my experience with them have been excellent.

The Goshogun is the only other CMS piece i owned and with its high diecast content and weight to size ratio, its definitly worth getting. It was also pretty cheap when it was first release.

Sad news indeed, one less company to challenge Bandai.

The annoying bit about buying from amiami is you dont get a shipping quote when you placed your order. So, i too chose registered SAL in hoping to save a couple of dollars haha but for me, registered SAL seems to take a week or two longer to deliver than EMS, but whats more important to me is the packaging quality which is no difference from EMS. And in my opinion, amiami always pack well.
