For those who order from d4toys do you have to pay them upfront upon order confirmation? Or do they only charge you when the item is in stock? Thanks.

dont' buy. Super overpriced especially this is a general release. Pretty sure there is plenty site open later with PO. It's going to be like Gundam X1 it's widely open for a long time. The economy is heading towards a recession. Bandai will do whatever it can to protect itself or cushion the impact on its business. I am sure they will produce more quantities of MB Freedom to fulfill as many pre-orders they can. I won't be surprised if this becomes readily available at launch date. But of course the release date in August means Bandai has around 4.5 months to produce them and ship them out at least 2 weeks before the official launch date to their overseas markets.

If those of you from the states can really get from Bluefin, we at Asia will be happy for you that you can get your MBs at cheaper prices And you can cancel you Japan POs for us to procure. Cos for most of us, getting from Japan is cheaper than getting from our local stores who either sell high due to the rarity or have no choice but to sell high due to Bandai's distributors forcing them to take unwanted products to exchange for every MB.

I am guessing here that he used to be able to find pre-orders using a particular search method in HLJ but HLJ has changed the way their pre-orders can be found in searches now.

Personally I think it’s an awesome figure with beautiful aesthetics. Definitely worth picking up.

Honestly man, I could see legendary defender getting an SOC before Albegas. An SOC for legendary defender would be amazing. Oh no.. for Pete's sake.. NO. I am from Singapore. Just to share a few thoughts from comments I have seen on the video. I do apologize for the glitches that happened during the review but I still pride it as being one of the most honest one-take video with no editing done. My purpose since the beginning when I started doing reviews, is to give honest and non-professional reviews. Non-professional in the sense that I don't edit or cut videos if I make mistakes along the way. I am just out there to share, not to become some celebrity youtuber or to earn big revenue out of the videos i do. On the figure, it is excellent but for sure you need to be careful when doing poses cos some parts may come apart. Maybe it's just me being clumsy in the middle of 1:30am in the morning while reviewing this figure. And maybe it's cos i was stretching the limits of the figure to see how far the knee bends. Or maybe my piece has some minor QC issues. Bottomline, I love and enjoy my toys and if parts falling part, paint chipping or parts breaking is part of an honest review, then this honesty is what every collector should know to make an informed decision on whether this figure is worth it. And I also encourage everyone to look at different reviews of the same figure to get more opinions.' Thanks again to everyone who watch my videos.

Only releases outside of Japan will get the sleeve. The Japanese versions will not have the sleeve. That being said, sleeve or no sleeve, I’m grateful that I’m able to order this piece direct from japan at PO price and not having to pay secondary prices. So sleeve or no sleeve is not a concern for me. Looking forward to receive mine from japan and do a video review of it.

I am impressed by the engineering efforts behind all the details on the open hatch and inner frame.
I am even more impressed at how fast this sells out despite the high price point.
One thing I am on the fence is this seems to be another DX Mazinger, Great Mazinger and Combattler V. For a figure of this size and price, I would expect that its articulation rivals that of a Metal Build figure where we get double jointed elbows and needs that allow us to create at least a kneeling pose like what's common in the anime.
Now a Mastergrade Nu Gundam has double jointed elbows and knees, so i am quite baffled at why a masterpiece such as this falls behind that standard. Perhaps it is not a standard to expect of in the first place.
That being said, with all the hype on the instant sell out and inflated secondary prices, I am sure this figure will do well at release and there will be many who jump on the bandwagon or ride on emotions and pay good money for it.

since this exhibition hints heavily on OO Gundam, I’m expecting to see a lot of the add on parts and accessories that will be made available for us to complete the existing OO Gundam Metal builds.
Keeping my fingers crossed for 1. XN Raiser for OO Gundam / Seven Sword/G 2. Full Saber for Qan 3. GN Arms for Exia (This would be huge and awesome) 4. GN Twin Broad Blade for Exia Avalanche
We would probably also see 1. Skygrasper with Sword and Launcher parts for Strike Gundam 2. Strike Rouge

GX-88 selling out at such a price is really insane. And here I thought the Macross VF-1S would divert the attention and make it easier to order the GX-88. It was a really insane PO with 2 highly sought after items being opened on the same day. I can imagine how even more insane it would be if there has been a metal build figure at the same time.
Congrats to all who managed to get both the VF-1S and GX-88. And for those who managed to get spares for both, you are amazing!

I’m hoping the high price tag and VF-1S madness will make it easier to get Voltron. But we all know it’s going to be sold out instantly even at this price anyway.

Thanks guys for watching and sharing my review. If you watched it when it was first published, the HD version may not be ready yet. Took YouTube a few hours to have the HD version ready. You can see better details and clarity if you haven’t already watched it in HD.
On the build of the figure, yes it does feel a bit shortchanged when the weight is considerably light for a metal build figure. But if you already come to terms with the Mazinger Z figure then you can sort of overlook it.
The selling point for Great is more on the accessories and effect parts which I feel are awesome if you are into displaying your figures in diorama fashion. And I feel Bandai has given us a complete Great with the additional Great Booster wing that was mentioned in the anime but not featured.
And since the figure is not that popular by Metal Build standards, fans of Mazinger should have no problem securing a piece.
I don’t love Great 3000 but I can safely say I love it in the range of 9-600.
