None of the Human Alliance figures really stand out for me in this go around. If they're not repaints they're anything but a car. I'm still looking for the ultimate version of movie prime....didn't really see any Leader class prime in the pics. Perhaps I should just get the ROTF version? I'd recommend it. The Primes that have been revealed (voyager and Ultimate) are pretty different from the obsessively-movie-accurate ROTF primes. While it's possible that the new ones will be good toys, I think it's safe to say that the definitive movie primes are either the leader/buster or voyager versions from ROTF, at least as things currently stand. If you don't mind getting Jetfire, get the Jetfire / Buster Optimus Prime set. The reason I'd recommend it is because Optimus got his mask on unlike the regular Buster Prime that has an open face. And if you can't afford it, pick the Hunt For The Decepticons Voyager Battle Blades Optimus Prime. It's a lot more screen-accurate than the previous Voyager releases, almost like a mini Leader figure. And if you got some extra cash, get the Takara version of the figure to get the hooks and better paint.

I didn't really like Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime that much anyway, but after watching the videos I do think this figure is low in quality compared to the previous Masterpiece releases. The hands can't hold the weapons very well, feet problems, but the worst part I think is...
A fake cover for the vehicle when attached to the trailer?! I didn't expect that! I thought you could change the Normal Hot Rod vehicle mode to the Rodimus mode and then attach it to the trailer. Not like what I saw!
It doesn't worth it to me... but if I'd get a Rodimus, I'll get the Classics version. I don't know if I'll get the Protector set as well or not.

In other words me? Yeah i bought all the previous 2.0 Revoltech Evas and yes now im being shafted with genuinely superior figures. Damn you Kaiyodo for issuing inferior figures for people to collect so close to your new releases. They are not the only ones who played dirty with the fans. You have FUNimation and their "Remastered" season sets of Dragon Ball Z. A lot of fans bought them despite it's flawed video quality, and few months later after releasing the final set, BAM!! They are going to release the Dragon Boxes! Thankfully, I only bout two sets and now, I'm collecting the Dragon Boxes for their superior quality. We are still fans as long as no Evas are included. ;D

At least Kaiyodo are going to release them normally and not half-assed exclusives that didn't match what they were supposed to. But I do feel sorry for those who bought the previous ones only to find out about the new improved ones that are going to have what they were missing in the past.
For me personally, I'm satisfied with my RDs. I don't I'll bother picking Units 06 and 08 or whatever new models that are going to appear in the upcoming movies, but I might pick Unit 05 for it's unique design.

Pre-orders for the new Eva are up on Tokyo Hunter, but I'll wait till they announce the deadline and when it'll be up on Yokatta.
Based on the previous two releases, they give month and a half to two months in order make your order. So, the estimated deadline would be March 16th. Take or give a few days.

Are they gonna make an Eva 03 carnage?! I think I'll get that along with my RD version. As long as it not going to be limited, I don't care.

Interesting..... But i do recall that even in the display samples at previous Bandai events the secondary arms were attached in such a way that you would consider "incorrect". I havent opened my copy yet, but from your pictures the incorrect way does make some sense since the hinged joint seems to sit almost flush to the main arm joint. While your new revised position seems to have the secondary arms just hanging there with little to no support. I recon somebody may get loose arm joints faster if they follow your method.... The reason I'm using this method is because I can't raise the lower arm up without popping off the upper one from its place. The slightest move will cause it to fall off

How is the the extra set of arms attach to 03? I hope you can post more pics:) The arms are a bit tricky at first. When you take them outside the box, the joints look like this: But the correct way looks like this: This is how it looks when you attach it in the incorrect way: And this is how it looks correctly: At least, the way I see it.

I've used them twice and it was very satisfactory. Very impressive set of accessories there. They didnt left out what is important in the Film. Kuddos to that. Giant Naked Rei! If there's something missing, it would be the wings of light. But I don't mind missing that. But if there's a possible re-use of the same mold, they could do an "Out Of Power" version where they repaint the green/red parts to gray along with black eyes and no A.T. arm. I won't bother getting it, but it would be a nice addition to anyone who's interested.

2005 boards leader has chimed in with information about an all new upcoming figure for Transformers 3 Dark Of The Moon, Ultimate Optimus Prime! No pic butMovie 3 features Optimus Prime driving into battle with his weapon trailer! Trailer converts into mech suit that powers up Optimus Prime. Try me packaging with light and sound. Optimus Prime has several ports to armor up with mechtech weapons from other characters Not suitable for under 5 years old 2 per carton which means it's at the devastator price point if history repeats itself. Will this figure surpass the Dark Of The Moon Voyager Optimus Prime that we've been seeing recently, and be on par if not better, than the renowned Revenge Of The Fallen Leader Optimus Prime? So the trailer transforms to a mech suit... Ultra Magness anyone?!

I've had great service from Yokatta as a middleman service: yokattaweb.jp/The guy running it is really easy to work with and the rates are reasonable (for a middleman service, anyway). After getting ripped-off twice on eBay, I'll try this site as well.

I finally received my RD Eva 03. I was looking for a perfect timing to go to the post office to avoid what happened in my last birthday.
And ANOTHER EXCLUSIVE?!!! It'll be released on June, so... I hope I'd be employed so I can afford not just one, but two figures.
Why two you ask? To make my own repaint to make it a hybrid between the movie and the TV berserk mode.

Hmmm, I thought Barricade was going to be a white police car in this movie. Interesting... Emerje Many had speculated he's going to be the SUV that crashed with Bumbelbee. --- Anyway, so far, the only figure I really want to get is Starscream. The Mech-Tech sure looks ugly. But if I guessed right, they are plugged using 5mm pegs. If it's possible to switch with other weapons, I'll get a Classics seeker and I'll switch their weapons. I hope my assumption is correct.

I love his Animated design. And from the review at CollectionDX, the toy got a brilliant design to switch between Shockwave and Longarm.
On second thought, I think I'll pick the Animated version.
