There were these warhammer 40k mini figures (I think it was called adpetus titanicus) that actually look pretty cool with robot collections

I'm sorry to hear that. I know things like that can be frustrating to say the least... I'm sure you'll love your GX-48. It's awesome. It's very solid and playable. I love mine so much I bought another one...and I NEVER buy duplicates. Thanks man! I found a guy that will sell a MISB Tamshii expansion set for 350 and free shipping. Do you think I should also get that? That set usually goes for $150 to $180 in Japan so I would wait or use a third party buyer system to get it from Japan. Even with the 3rd party buyer the most you would pay is around $270 with shipping.

I think more than the releases or figures, the "made in Japan" mark will always have value.

So I got a chance to play around with some of the Tomika Hyper Rescue series-which are rescue and construction vehicles with a few gimmicks-and I must say they are really fun toys, great for kids. I think its obvious that some of the Takara people are working on these. Very solid toys for around $25 each. If you paste this into your youtube browser there are some videos ハイパーレスキュー Heres the link to the taktomy page. You can look at individual cars with the yellow button in the center, and the lists on the far left of the page are other toys in the series. www.takaratomy.co.jp/products/tomica/hyper/hyperrescue/mashine/index.html

Anyone have complete series of Force Five taped off the broadcast air in 1983 or whatever it was? I have been looking for those forever.

I like the modern stuff. And not all of the modern stuff, just the SOC line and bits and pieces of transformers. I am not interested in SRC. I like some of the kayaba small models as well.
I originally quit collecting in 1994 (ironically driven out of the hobby by Ed Sanford) and those toys were excellent and lots of fun so I understand liking them.
In case you are wondering, the only things I kept were my Kamen Rider Belts (and machine dolphin I have no idea why).

Wow, the Yen is dropping like a rock. I noticed that with my last order. Anyone know the particulars as to why? The only thing I can guess is that perhaps the dollar is doing better and maybe we aren't printing up so much freaking money? The JP central bank said they were devaluing the currency. I have read 105 yen to the dollar or so is the target.

Once you add up the Grendizer figure, the web exclusive spacer and the other spacers you are pretty much at the same price as GX-04S...

Only half the shops are open on Wednesday. I think i saw a Daltanious there about 1 month ago. I think the price is almost the same as ebay-and then add another almost 10% for sales tax. There are 2 vendors with plenty of robots. Not really any deals, but Its a good place to look around though.
