Tetsuryu, can you pre-order from Discotek if you live outside USA? I think they only sell/ship within USA, I am in Canada and I think I am out luck if they release Mazinger Z.

That's great work Magegar, and you're right, the problem about subtitling all these series is the time it takes and the time you have to commit to do it, time many of us don't have.
It's good news Diskotek is about to release Mazinger Z, I believe this it's the first time for the North American market, and a great opportunity for NA to finally know the true Mazinger Z in all its 92 episodes glory.

I'm pretty sure msubs only did the first 21 episodes, not 26 - and they're apparently not planning to sub any more in case, like I said, Discotek releases Great after they're done with Z. Speaking of which...when the hell are the preorders for the first box set gonna open? You're right, I just checked and they are indeed only 21 episodes, Do you really thing Discotek will do Great Mazinger after Mazinger? that would be fantastic

lol I feel your pain, I have the first 26 episodes from Great Mazinger exelent quality with English subs, let me know if you want them. the rest it's easy to find on the internet. I am also subtitling all the crossover movies, I have them in blue ray quality with an incredible high resolution, check my youtube channel on my sig for some examples.
Cheers.

I'm from Finland. I didn't see Mazinger Z until last year, actually - and even then, I started with Shin Mazinger for some reason. I watched Z, Great, Grendizer as well as the Getter Robo shows and the crossover movies between them afterwards, as well as reading the Z manga, I'm planning to watch Shin Mazinger again sometime in the near future now that I'm much more versed in the Mazinger and Go Nagai canon. Cool, that's a country I would like visit one day, it's the first time I see someone who likes Mazinger that started with Shin Mazinger, me, like many others started the Mazinger love affair as kids since I grew up watching the animation on TV, let me tell you I love original Mazinger but I must be one of the few that thought Shin MAzinger wasn't bad, I actually like it better than the Mazinkeiser OVAs. Can I ask you something? I am missing a few episodes from Great Mazinger to complete my collection, I only have 1 to 26 with subs and the entire series in RAW (Just Japanese), you said you have watched all Mazinger animations/sows there are so, do you know of any englishg-friendly Great Mazinger version? what version did you watch? Thanks!

New York Comic Con is just a few weeks away and Tamashii Nations USA will be there, hopefully we can get some scoop about what's next for the SRC and SOC lines. I'll be attending the NYCC 3 days, so I'll see what I can find out! cool, you are our spy then, interrogate everyone, leave no rock unturned, and take picture of everything, you never know, good luck

Like when I was watching the Mazinkeiser OVAs for the first time, I was really exited to watch something new from Mazinger Z and then I saw the beach episode when they take their robots to beach plus all that silliness tan ensued and then I was like:

So sad that due to the crazy complexity of licensing so many Super Robots the SRW never made it to the west, there was a very nice Dreamcast game that was indeed released in the North American market that was truly an awesome super robot game, it's name was Tech Romancer, I still hope Capcom make a sequel for PS3 or PS4 Capcom owns all the characters and mecha in Tech Romancer / Choukou Senki Kikaioh, so they have no problem licensing it. When I was talking about the complexity of licensing I was referring to the SRW franchise, I know capcom owns the Tech Romancer (Chōkō Senki Kikaiōh) License, that's why I wish they could develop a sequel on the PS3 or PS4

You're right, that sounds way better for Mazinkeiser's origin, I didn't like the fact that in the OVA's Juzo Kabuto build both Mazingers and that Mazinkeiser existed and remained hidden during all this time only to be discovered by accident when more powerful enemies arose. Regular Mazinger exposed to some kind of transformation and undergoing some heavy modifications would have been way better, after all that was one of Mazinger's best features he was upgradable.

I see now. I never realized there was more to Mazinkaiser besides the 2000 OVA series. And, to be honest, I never followed any of the SRW games nor the mangas... so Those aspects about "evolved Mazingers" and Getter ray stuff had always been unknown to me. zozo-mag Yeah I am in the same boat, I have only watched the animations but I know nothing about the Manga nor the SRW lore

I think so,but Id rather stare at Gillian Anderson than any toys! Hahaha, I saw her a week ago here in Montreal at the comic con, she's still a very beautiful woman, however since I already had my Anderson fix, I am ready for the toys.

Well, for me personally the SRC line is right up my alley, I prefer the smaller size and the quality is outstanding, plus the prices are just right, you people that collect SOC might think these are "cheap" price wise, but for me they are expensive enough, collecting SOC with a mortgage,a wife and 2 kids will be suicide for me
